Obsidian Eyes.
I dream of those obsidian eyes.
Of the pain and power they contain.
I think about how loving they can be.
And hope for the day I can see those same obsidian eyes looking back into my own.
I long to see them say “I love you” without a single word spoken.
I wish I could wake up next to the man with the obsidian eyes.
And kiss his lips without a care.
But for now.
All I can do is dream.

Hidden amongst the trees.
Looking at the world passing by.
Do they even notice I’m missing?
The only person who sees me is the one I love.
And I am truly grateful for that.
I didn’t know he loved me till he saw me.
Hiding from the world.
He spoke comforting words.
And now I’m in the world.
No longer hidden.
But still he’s the only one who can see me.
