It's hailing here, harshly, with heavy rains, thunder, and lightning. I love this weather. I love the feeling of being safe and warm in your home, listening to the loud pitter patter of the rain on your roof and outside of your windows. Listening to the comforting rumble of thunder, and watching as yellow streaks the sky, blinding only for a moment before more thunder shakes the house with a deafening boom.
I don't know why I love this weather, but I do. My favourite part is the thunder. Without it, there's no thunder storms, and it's just one of the many marvels of nature that some pass up or don't pay attention to mistakingly enough. And the lightning is beautiful. Whatever it's made up of, it creates a bright, whitish, heavenly-like light that overtakes the sky by branching out like the roots of a tree. And I love the smell of the rain. It's so fresh and dewy, and comforting because I grew up in a place where it almost always rained and thundered daily. But thunder is indescribable. If you think about it, it's nature almost putting on a show for us... a beautiful, deadly show that's wonderful in itself and leaves you feeling taken by its bewitching charm. Hail is frozen rain, right? I never enjoyed hail, because once it smashed through my window, but still, it's beautiful. It's little balls of ice, coming down onto the ground heavily with the rain and the lightning.
All in all, I just love hailing, rainy thunderstorms. They're beautiful and wonderful and magical and I don't know if I could live without them.
