Excuse me but your teeth are in my flesh
Part One
The meeting
Britta, Stephanie and Tracy were sitting at the breakfast table scanning over the morning’s headlines in the newspaper.
“Anything new with the invasion?” asked Britta
“It’s not going well twelve more people were killed last night” replied Stephanie.
“Can you hear that?” whispered Tracy
“Not everyone can hear like a dog Tracy” said Stephanie eating a spoonful of cereal.
“I hear ruffling like some one is looking through papers and stuff” Tracy said slowly moving towards the front door. Stephanie and Britta disappeared. They had been in training for nearly their whole lives to become two of the most dangerous ninjas around. Tracy pulled open the front door and moved at lightning fast speeds into the front yard. Two men were rummaging through the trash. Tracy growled in a deep animalistic voice and shifted into her werewolf form just as Stephanie and Britta appeared beside her. The men stopped and stared the first one was massive he was one of the biggest people they had ever seen, not that her really resembled a person at all. He had lots of hair similar to that of a bear. His teeth were sharp and pointy. The second man was also tall but not as tall as the first. He was very lanky and had messy dark brown hair. The large hairy man pulled a large axe from his oversized coat.
“What are you doing?” said Britta in a steady angry voice.
“Getting some breakfast” said the lanky man in a smart arse voice
“From our bin?” said Stephanie. The large man narrowed his eyes. Tracy growled in reply.
“yes we were looking for food, but we were also looking for any discarded newspapers with information about these attacks, they haven’t said who or what has been attacking people in the city or given any description of them or what to look out for” the lanky man said.
“Okay but what are doing this far out of town?” said Stephanie
“Things in the city have gotten scary, people are getting attacked more and more, but these things attacking people aren’t human. I mean they look human but there’s just something wrong, their eyes are filled with white and they are biting people and ripping them apart, they don’t even use weapons just their hands” the cockiness left the lanky mans voice and was replaced with fear
“What? Like a vampire?” said Britta with a smirking.
“No something else” said the large man. Tracy barked then shifted back to her human form. The men looked unfazed by the fact that she was a werewolf. Britta and Stephanie had been watching them for their reaction.
“We are used to weird kind of things” said the lanky man. A fire suddenly engulfed his hand. He played with it on his fingers and then snuffed it out with his other hand “yes we are definitely used to weird kind of things” he said smiling.
“So its not people that are making these attacks” Tracy asked sipping her tea. They had invited the two men in for a drink.
“Nope” said the large man.
“What are your names?” ask Britta
“I am Liam” said the lanky man, taking a gulp of his steaming hot coffee.
“And my name is Joey the Divider” said the large man.
“Why are you called the divider? Are you excellent at maths?” asked Tracy
“Nope, I’m good at separating things from other things, like dividing a head from its body” Joey said laughing like it was a funny joke
“What are your names?” asked Liam
“I’m Tracy”
“And I’m Stephanie Truth”
“I’m Britta Wicked”
Joey laughed “Truth and Wicked, like out of the Anita Blake series?”
Britta smiled and secret sort of smile
“The very same” she replied.
“I was thinking, maybe we should try asking somebody what these things are that are attacking people” said Tracy sipping her tea
“Sounds good” said Liam.
“Where would we go for answers?” said Stephanie
“It just so happens that I have some friends who might know what’s going on” Tracy said laughing.
Part Two
Help
Britta got everyone to pile into her old van
“How much did you pay for this thing, $2?” said Liam grumpily. He was stuck sitting on Joeys lap.
“Hey watch what you say or she might put you in the boot” said Tracy opening a packet of mini gobstoppers.
“What way are we going?” asked Britta ignoring all comments about her car.
“To the old cemetery a bit closer to town” Tracy said whilst putting a blue gobstopper in her mouth.
“What are we going to find there besides dead people?” said Stephanie from the backseat.
“Exactly” said Tracy smiling
