Zephiel squeezed every moment of Dante's time during four of the five days in wait for this attack on their castle, and every night before sleeping he wrote in a journal about his teachings.
Zephiel took me into one of the wine cellars today. I still have no idea what he is trying to do to me--what he thinks he can awaken--but he kept telling me that I was proceeding nicely. First, to my amazement, he held a thick bottle of the old wine in his hand loosely. All at once, the entire cylinder shattered, sending the contents to the floor dramatically. Then he told me "That is an example of the powers you have inside of you, Dante." He proceeded to make an example of himself, proving his speed, strength and many other sttributes to me. The one I can truly capture in words for this entry is when he did something to my mind--I am still unsure what. He simply stared into my eyes, and soon enough pictures and words were flashing in my field of vision, and in the end I understood that it was a simple nursery rhyme story, like that from a book or a painting. It is even hard to explain what came over me, it was like a link had formed between our minds at that moment. I could feel him, sense his every thought. And then he cut our bond off effortlessly and sent me to my quarters, his reassuring "Wonderful, Dante" staying in my mind. Whatever happened, it is very strenuous, as tiring as a swordfight or a long run...
