Christians identify themselves as the children of God, an all-powerful being whom Christians believe to have created the universe. An important belief is that Jesus Christ, the immaculately conceived son of God, died as the "sacrificial lamb" to cleanse away sin from the souls of humanity. Christians practice informal, but respectful, speech in the discourse of prayer. Behavior patterns include the practices of respect for others, modesty, kindness, forgiveness, honesty, and love for others. Being a member of the Christian faith can be important to an individual for any of a variety of reasons: inner peace, a sense of belonging, unconditional love from a perfect being, fellowship with another person of a common mind, etc. Being a member of the Christian subculture is important in the way that it signifies that there are many who share a common bond.
If all of the above is true, then why is it that Christians are seen with such negative connotations?

To try to understand the motive behind pure hatred and dislike can only lead to questions of why someone would think like that on an individual level which will only lead to trying to understand peoples beliefs through a biased opinion which everyone carries.
Do no look to why they do not, but how you can show them why they should. Give proof, give evidence, give credit and give hope.
