Hmm...does anyone actually read this journal? I don't think anybody does, so why do i bother writing it. I mean yeah sure it's nice to vent out stuff like i am right now, but i'd really like to hear other peoples opinions, i mean i have some poems in here that i'd like people to read. Then again i'm not that intresting a person, so why do I care if people read this or not?Well for anyone who does read this here's a little something for you to think about.

Has anyone besides me noticed how every single country is trying to help other countries with their problems, when those same countries who are trying to help other countries have their own problems that they can't seem to solve. My question is how can one country help another country solve a problem if that same country can't solve it's own? It doesn't seem possible to me. How is one to know the right course of action if every course of action only increases the problem within it's own country. A country can't be much help if it's on the brink of a downfall, both economically and political, and any other way imaginable.

Let's look at it in a smaller scale. oKay say there is this family and they are having money issues, and they're barely above the poverty line. Yet they see another family in a smiilar sittuation and want to help them, at the cost of them being deprived of something they need. Now this family although it wants to help cannot because they would have barely anything to survive off of to help this family, and if they did help them they would be no better off than that family they wanted to help. In order for them to succesfully help these people and maintain their lives, they first must figure out a way to solve their own problem of not having enough money so that at some point they have money that they can use to help other families that suffer from similar problems to the one they had. Now this could work with any kind of problem not just money. Money was the easiest thing i could come up with.

Moving up to the larger scale again. I'll give you a real example going on today. Just a note I supported the chairity i supported however there was something my dad pointed out to me about it that got me thinking about this.Anyway..... We all know what Live 8 was i hope. if you don't let me bring you up to speed. Live 8 was this huge live concert well 8 concerts to be exact. Held around the world, at the same time. It was all created to bring awareness to the problems in Africa. Okay hope that helped. Now back to what my dad pointed out. Countries all over the world give 50 Billion dollars to Africa as Aid every year. 25% of that comes from the United states. that's 12.5 Billion dollars, for those of us who can't figure out 25% of 50 Billion. Canada provides 2% of the 50 Billion that's 1 Billion which is more than what countries who have a better economy than canada provide. All the other countries who give aid to Africa provide less than 2% of that 50 Billion. Okay we got most of the math part out of the way. Now the people of Africa have said that they lose approximatly 150 billion by the time it gets to the actual people of Africa. Now why you might ask? That's a good question. My dad says it's because of the coruption in the African government, and that in order to truly help the African people the government there must first get rid of all of the coruption.

This leads me to the whole explanation of why one country cannot help another before it's problems are solved. In both the Canadian and American government there is corruption. Within the Canadian government the corruption is the sponsership scandal that our Prime Minister who at the time was the Minister of Finance supposedly knew nothing about. Now for those of you who do not know what the Sponsership scandal is, let's put it into basic terms, the government wanted to get Quebecs support so they sent checks to different places within Quebec worth millions of dollars. Now the person delievering the check was paid millions of dollars for delivering that check. Now how is it that our Minister of finance knew nothing of this money dissapearing? Seems kind of Impossible to me. On top of this the economy is suffering more from the closure of the border for Canadian beef to the United States.

Now the corruption in the American government. This is all speculation from what i've seen in the news etc. First off the American government closed the border to Canadian beef, becuase of two cases of Mad Cow Disease. Now the American cattle farmers have had more than 2 cases of it and have been covering it up. Does this sound fair to you? it's okay that American beef has it but as soon as another country has it they close the borders? Doesn't sound fair to me. But I must send a huge thank you to Japan for closing it's border to American beef untill the Americans solve the problem of the border being closed to Canadian beef. If you ask me it's selfish of the Americans to be doing what they're doing now with this certain sittuation. To be honest i wouldn't be surprised if they only reason they're keeping the border closed is because they know the longer the border stays closed the more their economy will grow. Quite selfish if you ask me.

Now to bring it all together. How can Canada and the United states ever plan on helping when they can barely afford to keep their own country alive. There is so much corruption in this world it's really quite sad. One final question for you. Why is it that today's youth see more and know more than the people running the countries in the Government?
