Dream Doors
My dreams have shattered
Before my very eyes
Even though they were such a small size
Everyone has a dream
That won't come true
And I have something just for you
That something is a word of advise
Don't believe all of the lies
You will be told many times
It's true
But you don't have to believe
One thing that they do
Dreams are an open door
Only for you
But just because they're small
It doesn't mean a thing
One dream door may close
But another will open
So you can just keep on hopin'
That your dream will come true
And that door will stay open to you
I got a chance
To walk through that door
But I refused
And that dream is no more
I have closed the dorr behind me
For my dream has now come true
I am now writing this poem for you and for you
Your dreams are an open door
Only for you
But just because they're small
It doesn't mean they won't come true
