"You emo person." Sora gave her a look. Kairi shrugged it off, and responded with a, "I'm not emo. I'm an individualist."
Sora gave Kairi another look, and shurgged like I had, "So? You're still emo."
"Ah, be quiet Sora." Kairi snapped, and went back to her doodle. She had a habit of drawing all over notebooks, so this wasn't any different from school. Though, they were working, not at the private school they went to every day. Sora did nothing, but Kairi was beginning to talk to herself. "Stupid poem. What rhymes with 'My heart that has begun to erode?" Sora groaned at Kairi, and Kairi realized, "Oh yeah! Groan!" she began writing some more. It was silent for a bit, except for Sora's casual sounds of displeasure
"Mishire, why are you so late?" Sora asked no one in particular. Kairi didn't even look up at the blonde, who was pacing. "We're gonna miss our target if she doesn't her butt over here!"
Kairi put her pencil down, and looked at Sora, annoyed slightly. "Calm down Sora. You know Mishire." the blonde threw her arms in the air. "So? She'd be late to her own funeral!"
Kairi rolled her brown eyes. "Sora, if we had our way, we'd all be late to our own funeral. We're assassins, we're supposed to be stealthy." Sora didn't seem to be listening, as she stood outside Mishire's dorm impaitently. Go figure. Kairi thought, giving her poem another look.
Sora gave up. "Mishire, OPEN THIS DOOR NOW."
A second later, a petite girl came out of the door, an irritated look upon her features. Kairi simply put her notebook inside her messenger bag, and stood while Sora began scolding Mishire for being so late.
"Sora, it's only 5! We have an hour!" Mishire said when they began walking down the hall towards the elevator. "Sheesh."
"Well, we've been waiting for you for a hour too! Do you know how long it takes for me to get my hair curly like this?" Sora held out a piece of long blonde hair as an example. "HOURS. It took me THREE hours to get it like this!"
Mishire pulled her gray trench coat closer. "Well, I had to straighten mine! My hair is officially two inches long than before! TWO INCHES!" the two went at it again, and Kairi pressed the Lobby button.
As they exited the grand hotel building, and into the streets of New York, Kairi called the valet too. It was dark, and the sounds of cars overwhelmed the voices around the three girls. Suddenly, she felt her hair tugged at. Turning like a bullet she faced Mishire and Sora still arguing who has it the toughest luck on hair.
"And look! All Kairi had to do is tie it up!" Mishire said, and apparently Sora agreed. Kairi stared at them. A limo pulled up behind Kairi, and honked the horn.
"Girls." turninig to find a calm man dressed in a suit, a driver's hat on his head. He was a little on the older side, maybe 62 or so. He had his arms in a bowing position, his head tilted down. He had a name tag that said, 'Vladmir' on it.
"Are you here for us?" Mishire asked. He nodded.
"Yes I am. I am here requesting a Ms. Sora-san?" Sora smiled, and walked up to the man, making Kairi step back.
"Yes, that would be me." she said politely, a graceful smile on her pale peach complexion.
"Of course. And I assume you two must be Ms. Kairi and Ms. Mishire?" they nodded. "Then please, have a seat in the limo. We've been expecting you for quite some time."
"Yeah, quite some time." Sora said through gritted teeth towards Mishire. Mishire made a face, and said, "What? I had to get dressed! Not like I can walk up to a man of high status, and not be dressed like a lady!" Vladmir opened the car door for us.
"Yeah, but the person we're going to his not of high status!" Kairi pointed out she as placed her head in the door, along with one of her legs. "They're like us: teenagers."
"So what?" Sora asked incredulously. "They're still boys."
"Boys schmoys." Kairi said, and Sora gasped. "Boys are boys! They're meant to be impressed!" Sora said. She gave Kairi a slug on the shoulder. The girl rolled onto the leather seat dramtically, with an 'ouch'.
"But you don't even like boys, Kairi. Well, there were two, but we killed them... or we left them with one bad concussion." Mishire said, "And Sora, we're going to see the guy who you 'love'."
Sora batted her eyelashes. "Yeah, I know, isn't it great?"
"Yeah. Great." Mishire and Kairi said in montone.

Welcome to the World of Assassins. New York has been warped to a place of death. And only the rich rule. So assassins work to the point when they're the only ones that roam the streets at night. It's a dirty, dirty world out there. But assassin versus assassin is never a good idea. Especially when their heart is stone cold, and has been since their birth, Or when they're as bright as a star in the midnight sky. Or when love invades, and kills it all.
One moment can change a lifetime, right?
