I guess it's true that love can be very mysterious. It can work in strange ways and sometimes it can be cruel. If you ask me love is a game. For some the game is short but for others it is too long. If you stick it out and wait for the game to be over you can claim your "reward." Now I'm not saying the "prize" is always a good thing. Let me explain the game for you. You start at go, which in this case, the beginning of a new relationship. Things seem great and you're loving every second you're with this person. You start to think that you two were made for each other and you take the relationship to the next level. Everything is perfect and you couldn't be happier.....or could you? This is where the game changes and things get harder. A new player enters the game. This new player has all the things the old one has and more. You let this person tag along and later down the road you begin to see that you like them too. Maybe even love them. Now you have a choice:
A) Stick it out with the one you started with.
or
B) End the game now and start a new relationship with the new player.
Now, lets go with A. Let's say you chose to stay with the love you were already familiar with rather than taking a risk at new love. So, the game continues. Now, who is to say you made the right choice? Who is to say you made the wrong one? Let's find out how this one turned out. Choosing to continue the game things with the old player are still the same while things with this new one go up and down. Sometimes things are good and sometimes they are bad. You are falling more and more in love with this new person but you fail to realize that you're breaking their heart. You want to be with this person so much but you don't want to hurt the old ones feelings. Later, farther down the road, something very shocking happens that you'd never expect. The old player leaves you for another person that was very near and dear to you. You are heart broken and the game is over. Now you have no one. Bet you're wishing you picked option B now, huh? What do you do now? Let me tell you what I did because this entire story was about my game with love. I sat alone for 2 months and did a lot of thinking. I thought mostly of the girl I let get away....well almost get away. Her name is Lola. I thought about her everyday. What she was doing, how was she, did she even still want to talk to me? The answer, thank god, was yes. By some miracle she actually still loved me despite everything I've done to her. I couldn't believe that she would actually give me another chance. But, she did and now we are happier then ever. If you haven't figured out by now, she was my "prize" at the end of the game. Like I've said earlier love is a very mysterious thing and it likes to play tricks on you but in the end it's reward is better then anything you could ever dream of. I love lola and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. She is my life and I would die for her to live on. That's how important she is to me. Lola when you read this I want you to know that I love you so so sooooo much and I can see myself spending the rest of my life with you. You have no idea how grateful I am that you gave me another chance and trust me I will never hurt you again. I love you <3.
