One night while Meggie is reading a man shows up to see her Father. He tells Mo that Capricorn is heading his way and will be there soon. Mo starts to pack up and Meggies has no idea what is going on. Soon the man, Distfinger tells her because her Father won't. he explains that Capricorn and her had met once when she was small. her Father had been reading to her Mother, Resa the story Inkheart. When Dustfinger, Piper, Basta, & vapricorn popped out and Resa disapeared. The men demanded to be sent back but Mo couldn't. he tried and tried but no good. Meggie ends up being shocked and slightly mad.
Then Mo drives them to Elinor's hosue. She is the aunt of her Mom and is a book collecter. Mo, Dustfinger and Meggie stay there for a while but soon Capricorns Men come. They take Mo away to see capricorn. meggie then decides to go get Mo back. So then her journey starts. Not long are they captured by Capricorns men........
