"The sky is dark today. I wonder if it is angry at me?" Mara thought. Her orange waves rippled in the hostile winds and green eyes looked hurt. She was 16 today. Wasn't it supposed to be sweet? Today it seemed everyone was angry at her or just angry. The winds seemed to be trying to whip her and the sky was trying to threaten her. Earlier she had returned home to her parents yelling again. They stopped as she entered. School had been more horrible today. More people teased her then usual. The only on that hadn't was Dustin. As she passed her parents her Father yelled to her "Hey, Mara! I want to see your- " He said angrily. Mara had quickly run upstairs to hear her Mother tell her Father not to yell at her that way.
Mara had pulled of her school uniform trying not to cry. She put on a pair of blue jeans and a red hoodie that her dead friend Elise had given her before she died. Mara snuck downstairs and out the door. She practically ran all the way to where she was now. Mara's tears began to stream down her face. She stood in front of a dark grey house with blue shingles. The yard was still full of flowers and seemed welcoming. It wasn't though. No one lived there anymore. Mara wiped away some tears tears. It used to be Elise house. Her parents had left the town because it hurt to much. Elise had died only two days ago. She died because of an idiot. That idiot was her. Mara had been pinned to the wall of by a man. Elise ran up and kicked him away from Mara. Then the guy had charged at her with a knife. Mara had fallen to the ground and couldn't get up. In moments Elise had been stabbed several times. The guy had been kicked in the nuts but at Elise cost. Mara had somehow gotten over Elise and held Elise. Her friend was on the ground breathing heavily. Elise smiled up "Please, Be safe. Never forget we are friends forever!." Elise raised her pinky. Mara had began crying by then. Though instantly she brought up her pinky and they both held each others with the others.
The police came and now Mara was where she stood. Mara started to cry again. She wanted to hill herself. She didn't have anything to do that with though. Mara fell to her knee's "Why am i to live if I am meant to cause problems for others!" She screamed. Then a shadow appeared above her. Mara looked up and saw Dustin. He smiled at her and bent down. Dustin held her tightly "If you weren't in this world. I wouldn't have met someone as great as you. Mara, I love you." He stuttered. Mara stared at Dustin but wrapped her arms around him slowly. She felt something in the air. A pale face with short blond hair was standing on her and Dustin right. The lavender colored eyes smiled down at her. The being had angel wings and wore a white gown. It was Elise.
Mara smiled and began to cry. Elise turned around and flew up into the air.
"Always hold each other. Never let go. Please, Mara. Stay here. Friends Forever?" Her friends voice was soft. Mara nodded as Elise vanished. Dustin squeezed her more tightly "Hold me" Mara said. The day seemed brighter now.
