The ocean below beckoned for the falling sun to submerge within its depths. He listened intently to the song of the ocean, the whisper of the wind, and concentrated on his own breath. With this place all to himself, it was like the rest of the world had dissipated into the mist, leaving him and his thoughts, no matter how tumultuous they may be. Normally, the dance of the grass around him and the symphony of the sea would lull him into sleep, but now was not the time to do so. In the worlds, there was a war raging between the dark and the nothing… Heartless were the darkness in the hearts of living people given shape and form. A Nobody was what was left behind when the heart was taken. Things were unbalanced as the dark fought the nothing. For what is there to fight when something does not really exist? And what happens when one eliminates the darkness? Fighting the darkness is useless, for it will always exist in every heart. The Nobodies were fighting a losing battle. What confused him most was the side of light. Who did they fight? The normally upbeat boy sat, deep in thought, blue eyes gazing intently at the horizon. He had time to think things through. The King had sent a gummi ship, because that sort of technology was not available here on the islands. With the sound of the ocean, the dance of the wind on his skin, Sora shut his eyes.
