Chapter 7
With help from a horse and cart, Kitty, Sentaro and Ryo were only a few hours away from the nearest village. Sentaro was sitting in the back, with his eyes glowing light blue, was using a technique known as Spirit Scan. It's an ability psychics use to track down a person by sensing their spiritual energy, there's a certain range on how far they can use it, in Sentaro's case he's able to scan the entire country of Japan.
Kitty: Did you sense Chita yet?
Sentaro: I told you, I need complete concentration in order to find her. Its going to take an hour to scan the entire area.
Kitty: How long has it been?
Ryo: *sighs* Five minutes.
Kitty: Aw man. *pouts*
Ryo: Hey no worries, we're almost near the village. We can take a break there.
Kitty: 'Kay. I'm just so bored.
Suddenly, Ryo sensed they were being watched.
Ryo: Kitty, take the horse's reigns.
Kitty: Um, okay but why? *takes the reigns*
Ryo: *looks around the area* Whoever's out there, come on out!
All of a sudden, a knife flies out of the trees and goes towards Sentaro.
Sentaro: *quickly draws out his blade to block the knife, eyes stop glowing* And I thought you guys were a pain in the neck.
Kitty: Please stop attacking! Whoever you are, we're not your enemies.
A girl with red hair and turquiose eyes came out of the trees.
Ryo: Judging by the weapon's you're carrying, I'd say you're some kind of warrior, right?
Girl: That's right. The name's Bella and you are?
Kitty: We're-
Sentaro: Busy and on our way to the village.
Ryo: Yea, we don't have time to play with you kid.
Bella: Excuse me?! I have a name y'know!
Ryo: *yawns* Yea, whatever. Kitty, take us out of here.
Kitty: Um, okay. Let's go horsie.
Bella: Hey, get back here! I'm not done with you!
Ryo: Aww, too bad. Better luck next time kid! ;P NYAH! Kiss my a**!
Sentaro: Ryokamaru, sit down. The last thing we need are enemies.
Ryo: Fine, fine. *sits down*
Kitty: *looks back and waves at Bella* Bye! Sorry for the rudeness!
Ryo: Kitty, how many times must we tell you not to talk to strangers?
Kitty: I talk to you, who's stranger than that?
Sentaro: She's got you there.
Ryo: -_-; *sighs* Shut up.
Sentaro: Sorry guys, my Spirit Scan got interrupted. I can resume the scan once we get there.
Kitty: Okay.
After a few hours, they've finally arrived at the village.
Kitty: Wow! This place is huge!
Ryo: I guess it wouldn't hurt to look around the village for a while.
Kitty: Can we?
Sentaro: *sighs* Fine, but we meet back here in one hour. I'll stay here in the cart to scan the area.
Ryo: All right, catch you guys alter. *runs off*
Kitty: Good luck sensing Chita, Sentaro-san. *runs off*
Sentaro: *nods, sits down, eyes glow, concentrates on his search*
During the hour Ryo was flirting with some girls, while Kitty was in a store buying some candy. Elsewhere, the warrior Bella was searching for Kitty, Sentaro, and Ryo.
Bella: When I find that redhead, I'm going to kick his a**. *sees Sentaro* Hm, isn't that one of the guys who was with him? *approaches him*
Sentaro: *busy concentrating on the scan*
Bella: His eyes are glowing. What is he?
Sentaro: *not losing his focus* About to kick your a** if you don't go away.
Bella: AAAHHH! *jumps in surprise* How'd you know what I was thinking?
Sentaro: Because I happen to be a psychic. Now if you wanna start a conversation, try to speak a little quietly.
Bella: Oh sorry...
Sentaro: *eyes stop glowing, collapses a little* Gah...
Bella: Hey, are you all right?
Sentaro: I'm fine. This ability requires a lot of energy. *gets up slowly* I gotta find them and tell them the results of my search.
Bella: But don't you need to rest first?
Sentaro: I guess. My friends might still be busy having fun. *sits down*
Bella: Mind if I stay with you?
Sentaro: *sighs* Do as you wish.
Bella: *sits down* So psychic man, what's your name? I'm Bella Hokkaido, by the way.
Sentaro: Sentaro Nakamura, nice to meet you.
Bella: So, what're you and your friends up to?
Sentaro: It's a long story.
Bella: I don't mind, tell me everything.
Sentaro tells Bella about how they were looking for their friend and everything they've been through on their journey.
Bella: Wow.
Sentaro: Hard to believe, huh?
Bella: Yea... it's weird that you suddenly told me all these extraordinary things.
Sentaro: I sensed no malice in you, so I knew you could be trusted. *gets up* Now I must find my friends and tell them the results.
Bella: Wait!
Sentaro: What is it?
Bella: Hope you got room in your group, cuz I've decided to help you guys out. I'm going with you.
Sentaro: Sorry kid, but we don't need any help. We're fine on our own.
Bella: After hearing about what happened to you guys and what your little friend Kitty's been through, how can I just stay here and not help?
Sentaro: No way, it's too dangerous. You can't come.
Bella: I don't care what you say, I've made my decision, I'm helping you guys whether you like it or not.
Sentaro: -_-; All right Bella, you win... just try not to get yourself killed.
Bella: *smiles* You got it! ^^
Sentaro: Aw man, what have I got myself into?
