He was the pet of a princess, who's father was a royal a*****e.
Now, he had fallen for the princess, beautiful and fair,
So when the princess soon took ill, of course it was a scare.
The cat began to worry, and oh how he did wonder
How such uncivil illness could tear such beauty asunder.
The princess would see no one, distraught and in dispair,
But the cat was concerned and for her he had to be there.
So he took to vents, and scurried to her room,
How decided the cat was that he would end her gloom.
Once above her bedroom, he removed a ceiling tile,
And looked upon the maiden he hadn't seen in a while.
And oh the shock he was in to see what he did see,
The princess was turning felinish, just as feline as he.
And she was ever beautiful, and oh how he did stare,
Until the lady looked up, and learned the cat was there.
'Promise me that you'll tell not my father, that man,
I pray kind cat that you won't tell, I pray you, understand!'
And so the cat did promise, but of course you're safe with me,
And I will never tell to true nature of what you be.
Days did pass, and weeks did too,
and soon the course of a month had run through.
The princess changed,
Yes it was strange.
But soon the castle cats were two.
