Dante charged the throne, sword whipped out in a flash of silver light. He hadn't realized that he was screaming, only when his blade came down did he notice that he needed to breathe. A clang sounded through the large hall, and Dante was thrown to his back, feet away from the throne where Jareth now stood. "Dante... I regret having to kill my only heir... but betrayal is payed with death." He mumbled, and raised his rapier. Dante stood and charged again, this time swinging vertical from his feet. Jareth suddenly had his son by the throat, both swords crashing to the polished floor. "Why, Dante? WHY!? My world would be perfect! Everyone would bow to you! Why do you reject such royalty!?" He growled through his teeth. Dante managed to speak, even through his father's iron grip. "Be-cause... I hate... you!!" He sputtered. Jareth threw him hard onto the stairs, where he rolled dangerously to the base of the throne. His stomach exploded with pain inside of him, rocketing up to his head and down to every muscle in his body. His dark shirt was wet with blood, surely from a broken bone. "You... Agh, you monster!" He shouted, scowling at the ominous figure above him. Jareth lifted his blade and descended the few stairs slowly, stopping with a foot on Dante's chest. "Gaaaaa-atck!" He sputtered, the dark boot smashing the prominant wound. "I may be a monster, my son... but It is I who defeated you!" Jareth said, raising his sword. "And if I am the monster, you are nothing but a filthy halfbred monster... and you deserve to die!" Everything in the echoing hall had stopped, all attention focused on the two. Even the wimpering King had stopped, and even arched his neck to see. Jareth, the King of Vampires, brought down his blade in that deafening silence.
