After i got back from riding, Ibought a fifth of Patron. Its the good s**t but it is still tequila and tequila drunk is a whole new level of drunk. after the patron we hit the bars for numerous bottle of guinnes and a few carbombs. The five of us that went out must have gotten kicked out of no less that seven bars for being too damn drunk, and these are bars used to seeing people get obnoxiosly drunk. after closing out the entire town and returning to my barracks around 4am I decided that it would be a good Idea to steal my friends mtn bike and ride it around base wearing nothing but american flag boxers and a lampshade.
damn that evil tequila.
As for right now, preparations are set and we fly out at 8. I am officially out of my room and sitting outside my old barracks building poaching someones wireless. after this it is time to draw out my m4 and load up all my remaining bags, all 350lbs worth.
The main question all my freinds and family keep asking is, are you nervous?
heres your answer YES, HELL YES!!! of course I am nervous I am going to a war zone!! there will be people shooting!!! AT ME!!!. i dont want to meet the guy who isn't a little nervous before his first deployment. if you want to judge me on that then come over and i will shoot at you for a little while and see if you don't get a little edgy.
The next questin is, "Are you ready?"
well, do I really have a choice? no i dont, but yes I am ready. I am with the best platoon in my unit and we are all ******** good. I fully intend on coming back alive and intact. those little taliban ******** arent good enough to take me out. we train for this, we prepare ourselves for this. Its time I am ready.
