K yeah so.....my friends and I have decided this summer we will be building a catapult. Not just a dumb model flicky catapult either. A full size, 8ft tall trebuchet. It's gonna be AWESOME!!! mrgreen (though a lot of people think we're crazy......which we are. xD) So far the people who will be participating are me(Megsi), hobbitgirl42(Lisa),Xerone-XVII(Caitlin) and probably "the dew man"(Bob/Bobby) See Hobbitgirl42's journal for a better description of us all. ^_^
K. So. It all started with Lisa.She's all smarticle and she had wanted to build a catapult for a while. One day I was over her house and she just kindof decided we were going to do it. We.....ok...SHE built a model of the catapult out of index cards and a pencil. It wasn't to scale or anything. It was just to get a basic idea of how we'd build it. Since then we have been researching and stuff. Lisa and I actually went to go see Prince Caspian just because Caitlin and I had told her the catapults were amazing. It took her genius brain to realize they were fictional and it's impossible to build one like that. xD Now Lisa has "perfected" the design down to the very last measurement....or ....at least we hope so. whee SO...uhh...yeah...we're gonna be building it next month and hopefully finishing before august. I''m gonna try to make an entry every day till we're done. It'll probably be a countdown most of the time. But I'll put in updates if there are any. Stay tuned! And don't forget to check my friends journals too! I'm not the only one building it. wink oh yeah......
