Chapter 22
Chita, Luke and Nero were saved from the Immortal werewolf thanks to Ryo.
Ryo: It's good to see you again Chita-chan. Its been five years and you still look as beautiful as ever. *smiles*
Chita: What're you doing here?!
Luke: *growls at Ryo*
Nero: Luke, no. He's a friend.
Luke: *stops growling, sits*
Ryo: Why else am I here? We're here to take you home.
Chita: "We"?
Ryo: Kitty and Sentaro came along, as well.
Chita: *angrily* Neko's here?! I told her I never wanted to see her again!
Ryo: Chita, listen to me. Your cousin didn't go all rogue on purpose, some guy provoked her, said hateful things to her, just so that way she would lose control of herself and destroy the village. She told us.
Chita: Why should I believe you?
Ryo: Why would I lie?
Chita: To get me to come home.
Ryo: Heh, if that were the case, I'd think of a better lie, like it wasn't her it was her evil twin. Hey, I may be a thief, but I'm not a liar.
Chita: Haha, very funny. Look, there's nothing you can say that'll make me go back. I've already decided to stay here.
Ryo: Hmm... You know what I think?
Chita: What?
Ryo: I think you're just afraid to confront her after all the things you said to her. You're afraid she won't forgive you.
Chita: What?! Now you're baing ridiculous.
Ryo: Am I? Why don't we make things more interesting?
Chita: How?
Ryo: You and I have a one-on-one match. Weapons, martial arts, magic, whatever you like. If I win, you're coming home with us. If you win, you'll never hear from us again.
Chita: ............. *takes out her black gun Kurokiba* Let's do this.
Ryo: I was hoping you'd say that. *takes out his scythe Irkalla*
Chita: Just so you know, I've gotten stronger over the past few years.
Ryo: So have I.
Nero: Wait, Ryo-san!
Ryo: Don't worry, kid. This'll be quick. *looks at Luke* And you stay out of this fight, wolf-boy.
Luke: *growls*
Nero: But Ryo-san! *groans, stomps the ground, sits, pouts* No one ever listens to me.
While Ryo and Chita's fight began, Sentaro was fighting the Immortal Eurydice. She remained unharmed, while he was slashed all over his body, bleeding a lot.
Bella: Sentaro!
Sentaro: You two, stay back! I'm the one she wants.
Bella: But you're hurt. Let us help!
Sentaro: NO!
Bella: Hmph, why are men so stubborn?
Edward: If things go out of hand, we jump in.
Bella: *nods* Agreed.
Sentaro: *on his knees, panting* Damn, my powers haven't returned yet. I'll have to keep fighting the old-fashioned way.
Eurydice: Do you still wish to fight me?
Sentaro: That's the idea. *stands up slowly*
Eurydice: *evil grin* You know without your psychic powers, you're as good as dead.
Sentaro: You're wrong. I don't need my powers to defeat you. Although, they would be kinda helpful now. As long as I have my sword and magic skills, I can't lose.
Eurydice: Is that so? Well, we'll just see about that! *waves her bladed fan Atropos, shoots out kunais*
Sentaro: *summons an ice wall, blocking the attack*
Eurydice: Pah, beginner's luck. *disappears and reappears behind him, is about to slash him*
Sentaro: *blocks the attack with his blade Setsuka* Nice try. Now it's my turn. *sends a blast of crushing water at her*
Eurydice: GAH!
Bella: Way to go, Sentaro!
Eurydice: That was nothing. *sends an ice blast at him, freezing his left foot to the ground*
Sentaro: What?! *struggles to free his foot* Damn!
Eurydice: Gotcha! *waves her fan, sending kunais at him*
Sentaro: That won't work. *summons another ice wall, blocking the attacks*
Eurydice: That shield won't protect you for long! *continues attacking*
Sentaro: *ice shield starts cracking* Oh no! I've reached my limit.
Eurydice: *evil laugh* This battle is over! *throws a kunai at high speed*
Sentaro: *it breaks through the shield, pierces through his shoulder* GAH! *shield shatters, puts his hand on his bleeding shoulder* Damn....
Bella: Sentaro!
Eurydice: *puts her fan away* Now, to get what I came for. *disapppears and reappears behind him, bites his neck, drinks his blood*
Sentaro: GAH! *unables to move* You lousy b***h....
Eurydice: *removes her fangs from his neck, whispers in his ear* Just to let you know, in a few moments, you'll change into a vampire.
Sentaro: What?!
Eurydice: Some vampires have the ability to change humans. *evil chuckle* And I am one of them.
Sentaro: N-No.... Ne.... ro.... *collapses to the floor, unconscious*
Eurydice: Looks like his body has reached his limit.
Edward: *takes out his fan/windmill shuriken Tenma Yakuman, throws it at Eurydice*
Eurydice: *dodges*
Bella: *takes out her 2 katanas, Amaya and Mika* You're gonna pay for what you've done!
Eurydice: Heh, so you two are my new opponents?
Female voice: No, I am!
Eurydice: What?!
Suddenly, from out of nowhere, an arrow flies through he bushes and pierces Eurydice's heart.
Eurydice: GAH!
Someone comes out of the bushes.
Edward: A demon?
Bella: Elena!
Eurydice: You! *pulls out arrow* How dare you show your face, you traitor!
Elena: Shut up! *readies her bow and arrow Celeste* Now hold still, so I can destroy you!
