Not much in terms of an exciting school day. I had my FBLA meeting first thing this morning, so I didn't get to see anyone bright and early. Oh, well, they'll live one morning without me. All it was was updated schedules for upcoming events, and commentary for the New York New York disaster on Saturday. As I expected, everyone played the Blame Game, and no one won this time.
Here's a strange concept. In Website Science, we're experimenting making a Hangman game program. It's pretty tough. I think the way Ms. Shugars plays it, is she tries to teach us, by trying to make Visual Basic fun, by making us do weird programs, that are supposed to have an end result of a mediocre 1980's version of a game we can play on paper, that makes us think we made a cool game we'll play forever.
In secret, I've been working on a DDR game in Visual Basic. To be honest, I don't like the stuff we're learning. We're not doing hardcore programming. Visual Basic is like a beginner's guide to programming. I want to go into C++. Half the stuff we should be making from scratch is already available in a toolbar.
