I long to be the sparkle in your eyes, Those eyes that don't see me at all. I long to be the stars in your skies, But you won't let me see your day fall. I long to be the glove on your hand, That hand that will never touch mine. I long to be the rose on your lips, Those lips that will never tremble against my own. This longing..., I long to be your protector, I long to be your lover. I long to be the one who makes you happy. I long to make you cry. And yet be the one who tells you "I'm sorry". But you will never feed this longing. This starvation. Because "he" is your sparkle, Your star, That glove, That rose, Your protector, Your undeserving lover. And I,... am your sick heartless nobody, that will never recover.
