It was cold and damp inside my room, the window was open and the rain was flying in, I reached out, it was just too far away, the chain around my ankle jingled as I edged myself towards the window. I slipped on the water that had fallen from the window, my head hit the floor first, my eyes went hazy and I felt dizzy, the pool of water below me turned red, I lay slumped in my watery blood, unconscious on the floor.
I woke up in a different room, the brightness shocked my eyes causing them to haze, the window as larger and lower down, the sunlight shone in and hit the silver tray by my side, it had a simple meal, a glass of water and an aspirin. My head was bandaged and I was wearing a dull white dress, I sat up against the wall my bed was pushed against, I swung my legs off the edge and started to look around. This room was bigger and painted in various colours, there was also someone else in the room, they had covered themselves with a blanket and they were facing the other way, lying on their bed which was also pushed against the wall.
A nurse came in with a green box, she looked at the other person and smiled, then she looked at me, ”oh your finally awake then lovey?” she said in a cockney accent, “I need to change your bandage” she placed her green box on the end of my bed and clipped it open, she put on some gloves and leaned towards me, I recoiled up the bed in fear and covered myself with the stiff white blanket I had been given, “it's alright lovey, don’t be scared?” she chuckled
“where am I?” I asked unsure of what was happening,
“you’re in an institution love, don’t you remember?”
“no I don’t, why am I here?” I said angrily.
“your family… they were killed” she stumbled, she was obviously lying, “by a man, they were killed by a man!”
“so why am I here?”
“you have nowhere else to go!”
“why was I locked up?” I said forcefully, I didn’t understand what she was saying,
“it was for…. Your safety?” she lied again,
“oh ok” I smiled, she changed my bandage quickly then said “do you want anything to do?”
“can I listen to music? I always have my iPod with me so it would be easy to find in my stuff right?”
She disappeared with the plate of untouched food and returned moments later with my ipod, “it's only got half battery, what happens when it runs out?
“well your charger hasn’t been tested yet so we can’t let you use it?” she replied, a sympathetic look on her face, she left again and locked the door, I was alone with a complete stranger, “maybe there asleep?” I thought, I turned on my iPod and put on my head phones.
i am cutting it short cause i have only written another paragraph... you will have to wait razz
