There are 31,103 verses total in the Bible.
6 of them admonish homosexuals.
That's approximately 0.0002% of the Bible even mentioning homosexuality.
However 362 verses in the Bible admonish heterosexuals.
That's approximately 0.012%. Big difference.
Apparently, six small verses on homosexuality immediately points to them going to hell.
I'm sure if you asked any chosen homophobe or person against homosexuality because "the Bible says", they wouldn't be able to point out to you these six verses.
The most important one is also taken out of context. 1 Corinthians 6:9 states that all adulterers, idolators, homosexuals, and effeminates go to hell. So that means if you've ever had sex before marriage, which I'm sure the majority of America has, you're going to hell. My mom, the most good-hearted, Christian, remarkable woman I know is going to hell. Imagine that.
Effeminates? Effeminates? Men who act girly? They don't even have to be gay, they just have to act like a stereotypical girl. They're going to hell. Good job, Bible. Good job.
Doesn't say anything about women who act manly now does it? Oh, that's right...because in Biblical times, women were considered property. NOT EVEN HUMAN. So the Bible doesn't even apply to me apparently.
And it says homosexuals. What if I'm bisexual? Loophole, huh? I'm going to heaven apparently.
Oh, but I'm property.
Nevermind then.
Oh, but look here. Right after this verse that says all these people go to hell, it says Jesus has forgiven them by dying on the cross. Well then we have nothing to worry about then do we? Then why're homosexuals still condemned? Why're they still abused, discriminated against, beaten, killed?
No, it's not because it says so in the Bible. It's because that's what people told you and so that's your one excuse. It's not in the Bible. There are 362 verses admonishing heterosexuals and 6 on homosexuals. That doesn't mean God hates heterosexuals or homosexuals.
Don't tell me God's love is unconditional and then say I'm going to burn in hell.
Don't tell me that I'm going to hell just because I love someone.
Love is when your insides squirm every time they look in your eyes.
It's when they go away and you follow.
When you actually talk to them for hours on end when you normally don't talk at all...
You can talk about anything.
They can touch you and you don't flinch.
You would die for them.
And if they died, you would go with them.
Love is love.

I find it kinda funny.
My friend's dad told my mom that I was going to burn in hell and that he was speaking from the word of God.
...he's an adulterer.
He's divorced.
It's says in "the word of God" that adulterers go to hell and that God hates divorce.
Funny.
I'll never understand where all this hate comes from.
