This past weekend i went to a place in ocean city with my youth group at church that completely changed my life. That sounds cheesy but it really isn't. We got to hear reggie dabbs (no one you would know) and his four guys (ILY NEVIN) and stellar kart which is a band. We had a lot of relationship problems that me and another friend of mine were involved in, and of course, i was the one who ended up being heartbroken. Its not even a surprise anymore. I just know that it will happen and maybe one day ill get lucky. But Saturday night changed my life and the lives of many others. Reggie wanted us to stand up if one of the following applied to us:
Addicted to drugs, alcohol, porn, or sex
Cutter
Thought about commiting suicide or attempted doing so
Thought that a divorce of your parents was your fault
So on and so forth
He would count to 20 really slow between the mentioning of each item and we had to stand and let everyone see us. We were supposed to give it all to god. After everything was called, there was not one dry eye in the house. Everyone was bawling. We all started to hug. I climbed over a set of seats to hug someone. We all travelled up to the edge of the stairs and prayed. There i met someone whom i truly hated and we looked at each other and smiled (well me through a tear stridden face) and hugged.
That was also the night that i got heartbroken. But lets move on. Random people would hug you. Anyone.
That was life changing and i hope i get to feel that way again.
