Something Wicked This Way Comes... |

Hmm...Halloween was pretty mediocre. I wasn't watching Ray this year, so at least that's a plus I guess.
Well, I woke up, or at least got woken up, around 9:30 this morning. I guess from being at the Con all weekend, and having to get up early and go to bed late, 9:30 was a bit of a blessing. I woke up so many times, and then decided that I wanted to sleep more, I could have sworn I had woken up around at least noon. I guess from lack of sleep and Daylight Savings, that's what tricked me. Dad got me up for breakfast, and we had eggs. It wasn't much, but it was filling, and I had some toast and jelly so I could fill up. Pretty much after that, I called Russell to see what was up. He apologized and explained how close he was to getting me my Grunny Slippers, but that around 6 last night, they had closed the event.
From then on, I stayed on the computer all day doing the Gaia Halloween Event. It's a lot easier compared to last year, since for one, I had access to a computer and I'm not begging Josh and Russell to do the event for my avatar. It's the basic trick-or-treating, then you find Jack and he gives you a Grab Bag 2K5.
I did it with my mules, but once I got past the 2nd Grab Bag, the 3rd one was the same bag as the 2nd. So now I had two of the same Grab Bags. I checked the Q&A thread, and a bunch of people had the same problem, but no one had a solution. So I figured that since I had all day, I'd just try again. But it happened, and now I had two doubles. I checked again, and there wasn't a way to fix it, and some people were bypassing the problem. Then, two more times, I got the Uniform Pants again, so I just gave up. I took a shower, called Russell to b***h about the glitch, and by then it was getting dark. So the trick-or-treaters were beginning to arrive, and that meant Kelly was bound to have Sophia in the Chili Pepper outfit by now.
I went down to check, and sure enough, Sophia was ready and raring' to go. She did look adorable in the costume, with the stem of the pepper as the little hat, but Sophia sure didn't think so. I bet she was hot in that thing, it was like made of wool or something. Dad and Kelly sat outside with her and the trick-or-treat bowl. Oh, right, forgot to mention. Kelly had the candy bag sitting on the counter all day, and it was like a mixture of Laffy Taffy, Bottle Caps, Sweet Tarts, and Runts. Now, as Mayor Adam West once said, "I am a man who loves his taffy." I kept sneaking pieces from the bag all day, and by the time it was going out for the kiddies, there wasn't much banana flavored Taffy left in the bag, cause it was in my stomach. I stayed inside, and tried to see if the glitch was fixed, and it kind of was. Eventually, Sophia got real tired of sitting around in that costume, so they took her inside, and got rid of the rest of the candy.
And that's how my Halloween went in a nutshell. Nothing too big, but I'd do more, but Dad keeps saying I'm getting too old to do anything. Whatever, he's just mad that he's getting old, and no matter how much youthful energy he has, I'll be a Toys 'R Us kid forever. If I get too old to do anything childish physically, I'll kill myself.
