Okay, I just came back from the school dance and I was looking at some of the people dancing and I couldn't help but think," Aww, how cute." But then I look at some of the girls dancing on there own and I get so mad at the typical stereotypes. Seriously, lots of girls think that belly dancing and wearing skin tight clothes is the only thing that attracts a boy's attention when it's not. I see extremely intelligent young women failing tests because they were up over half the night choosing something to wear that would make the cutest guy in school look at her and these young women just can't seem to understand that middle school is the beginning of the real world and that now is the time we are making a name for ourselves. At this time we are choosing and practicing for our future careers and these girls are busy worrying about their rainbow-colored skinny jeans and their hair because they want a guy to notice them. Well, in my opinion, if a guy only likes you for the way you look isn't worth your time and sometimes it really irks me to see guys that mistreat their girlfriends and never listen to their opinions on major issues and the girls take it! We females constantly underestimate ourselves because we were raised on a society that was built on the belief that boys are smarter and stronger than us, but when we actually try and see what we are capable of, we begin to understand that we can do anything just as well as boys (and we can do it in heels) and that the stereotypes are often misleading. In summarization: Girls are equal to guys and we don't need to dress in skin tight clothes to get their attention.
