A/N: Another band another song.
There are things, Easily hidden behind a mask. Words, expressions, Pain, those feelings. You can easily hide them, Behind a mask. Disappear behind a mask. Such an awkward mask, So hard to hold it up. So very hard.
But on Halloween, The mask is easily held, In place, for smiles, When he's wearing that polo, He got last Christmas. He won't know, But you will know. You'll always know.
You can hide that chuckle, From the girl wearing, A ballet tutu for an angel. Then again, she's pretty as, That angel with a tutu. Unlike you, Wearing a devil jumpsuit. (Oh God, ewww)
Masks are easily held up, During the day and night, Of Halloween. Beautiful fall nights, And cool autumn days. Colors matching the disguises, And words like the ones before us. (Like the ones who have passed)
Remember when we were two, Candy was easy to get. Our parents would push us through, And we demand the candy.
We're teens now, And teen don't demand, We smoothly slide it out. Like feelings for one another, We hide the excitement, Behind an easily held up mask. Behind my little mask.
Halloween, Halloween. Such a childish holiday. We love it, It's candy, c'mon! As we get older, It's hard to enjoy it, Without embarrassment. Without feeling.
So easy to hide my words, So hard to say them aloud. Behind a mask I can keep, In my expressions for you. Pain will seem like a nervous laugh, And these feelings will be like, They weren't meant for you. They weren't for you.
But everything behind my mask is, Only meant for you to see. Halloween, I easily hold up my mask, Hold it up, high to see! Hold it up! I can't see you, you can't see me, I can't feel you, you can't see me! (You can't see me!) x4
I hold up this mask, Wishing is was Halloween, Everyday of the year. So my feelings wouldn't, Be easily hidden by my mask. Be so easy to hide, Behind my mask. Behind my mask. Behind such an, Awkward mask.
