Lavi lead the girl to his room. Novella followed keeping up with his fast pace. Lavi opened the door and waited for her to step in. She did so and Lavi closed the door behind them. Novella instantly was instantly alarmed. "Don't worry Novella. You'll be fine." Said Lavi. "What...do you mean by that?" She asked her back on the wall. Lavi sighed. "I said I wouldn't hurt you and I won't. Just take a nap. I'll be in a few hours." He said. Lavi left and closed the door.
Novella stayed against the wall for a long time. She grew to tried to stand up anymore so she shrunk down on the floor and fell fast asleep against the cold hard ground. A few hours later Lavi slowly opened the door hoping not to wake Novella if she was asleep. When he saw her not on his bed, he saw her over on the cold ground. She was shaking with cold. Lavi for some reason melted at the sight. The black skirt had ridden up a little showing more leg than needed. Her brown almost blonde hair was spread out on the floor. She looked worried and fearful. Lavi went to the girl and bent down. He picked her up careful not to wake her.
He walked over to his bed and set her down on it. He covered her with the blanket. He had no idea why he felt for the girl so much. The blanket clung to her curves. He stared at them his one eye tracing them time and time again.
Then his eye went to her face. Worried and frightened. Her hair framing her face. Childish, yet was quickly forming into a woman's face. Her long black and perfect eyelashes almost swept her cheeks.
Lavi after a while grew tired. He lay down next to the girl and drifted to sleep. Lavi dreamt of nothing as always. Novella was a quiet sleeper a mutter here and there. She began to cry as she dreamed about the village she had been taken away from.
Lavi awoke to sobs. He sat up and put his arm around the girl. "It's alright." He said soothingly. The girl awoke and sat up. She wiped away her tears. "I'm sorry I woke you up." She said.
"No it's alright..what did you dream about?" Asked Lavi giving the girl a comforting hug. This wasn't like him. Why did he care so much? Why would he care that a scared girl that was sleeping next to him was crying in her sleep? He didn't know.
"The village you bastards toke me away from." She said bitterly. Lavi only put his head on top of hers. "I'm sorry." Was all he said. He couldn't offer any words of comfort for the girl. Novella sighed and cried a little more. She fell back asleep in Lavi's arms.
