Shikamaru enterd Katara's family cafe. They had all different sort of sweets and cake in a large case. The smell of vannila, chocolate and strawberry was very nice indeed. Shikamaru scratched the back of his head. He never boverd to change clothing. He never really saw the point. He looked around the yellow and pink wavy pattern across the wals. Some people were sharing conversations while drinkin small cups of tea with the little saucers. Katara came down from the staircase behind the counter and jumped over. Her heeled sandals clicked as she landed. He was surprised how much effort she but into her apperance. Like that she reminded him of Ino and her vanity.
"Is somthing wrong?" Katara asked nervously.
"Um...no" He blushed slightly and linked arms with her then carried on guiding her to the ice cream parlor. There was hardly anyone around. Mostly the classic scene of hills and the family picinics. Katara walked uo the counter and lent over.
"I will take a toffee fudge cream and chocolate fudge crunch please!" Shikamaru insited he payed however she said she would not let him offend her independence.
"I shall take a vannilla" Shikamaru sighed.
Katara sat down on a rounded bench with Shikamaru sitting close next to her. He looked at her with a strange look on his face. He always said he would find a girl who is not to ugly, not to pretty, get married, have one boy and one girl, he will retire when his daughter was married and his son was a great ninja to finish it off he said he shall die before his wife. He had his life so planned out. However when in the acadmey thats when Katara ruined his plans. She never fell into any of his women choices. She was not to ugly she was way to pretty, she was not not to big she was the perfect type of thin and had the right curve in every place. Her hair was not short it came to just below her chest, it was very well cared for. How could he have fallen for someone who he'd never thought he would ever even hit on.
"Shikamaru?" Katara questioned. He had noticed that his ice cream was completly melted on the floor and Katara's was already gone. "I thought you went to sleep on me" Katara sighed from releif.
The next few hours were full of fun and games. Yet there was the slight flirt between the two. Such as when Shikamaru was teaching her snooker, how he guided her hips and stroked her arm. Katara grabbed Shikamaru on the dancing mat. She danced with him to make him get the hang of things.
Katara stood outside her door as it was late at night.
"I really enjoyed today Shika"
"Me to"
Katara kissed his cheek.
"Bye Shika" Katara winked and walked inside.
