"You damn f*ck up. Look what you made our child do!"
"As the perfect person commands. Besides, it's her choice to break it off."
They argue.
"I never said I was perfect! Besides, what about the grandchildren? As long as we stay together, I can never see them!"
"Well, you sure act like you are, and they can wait, right?"
They fight.
"Well, I'm not going to! You're so inconsiderate!"
"..."
They hurt.
"Ugh, whatever. You never feel an ounce of remorse for what you put me through."
"..."
They secretly regret.
"Absolutely none!"
"..."
And they secretly stay with one another. But when they become young again...
"Mallory? It that you?"
"..."
"Mallory, are you all right?"
"..."
"...Mal?"
"Roland!"
"...!"
...they finally realize how much...
"I thought I was your only one!"
"Well, that was back then. We have our youth back, and right now," flick, "this ring means means nothing, right?"
"..."
"Roland?"
"I guess not."
...young love pales in comparison to being...
"What do you mean, Abbie? How dare you speak to your mother in that tone-!"
"You're not my mother. My mother is loyal, and she would never hurt my father! Now get out of my house, you're distracting me from making dinner."
...with the one you chose to spend forever with...
"You may have been married twice, but I haven't! I wanted you to be my first, and my last!"
"Roland-"
"I know I'm inconsiderate, but I still want you and you're not the only one who doesn't want to see Abbie grow up to become like us! I want those kids to be as happy as we were once upon a time."
"..."
"And now you see how I felt all these years."
"Oh Roland..."
...and growing old with them.
"Grandma!"
"Grandpa!"
-
After turning into young people again during a separation attempt, elderly couple Mallory and Roland Torres have different opinions.
Mallory, after suffering 60 years of marriage, is happy to be back on the market, seeing as the 84 year old woman known as Mal Torres doesn't look like 24 year old May Torrent. She's glad to get away from her husband, and be a, "single woman."
Roland, on the other hand, is devastated. He knows Mal used to be a play girl in her days, and he knows the love she felt for him when they were young faded years ago. But his hadn't, and he still loves her unconditionally. Roland desperately tried to find his wife in the partying streets of Miami, but no luck.
But one day, they catch each other's eyes in a club. Suddenly, it was the 1940s again, and Mal recalls being the girl who fell in love at first sight with the overly handsome, but slightly insecure, Roland. She tries to deny the feelings she still has.
Abbie Palsies, formerly Torres, is smarter than most bartenders when it comes to relationship problems. The hurt Roland asks for her expertise. She recognizes the problem immediately, and tells him to keep reminding her of the past. But when Mal comes to her, she gives nothing, except a cold shoulder, and a one line: "You're not my mother."
