In a two-story house that was neat and pleasant looking much like what you’d see in a Victorian-like story right in Seallia's capital, young Adeline Monarch sat in her bedroom, on her bed with the covers still on her. Her bedroom was set at the south end of the house, on the western side. The room has dusty pink walls, and an oak wood floor, there was a white vanity table on the east side of the wall with a pile of dolls beside them, then her canopy bed was on the west wall covered in quilts designed with fairy’s, next to her bed was a bay window on the south wall, and on the other side of the bed was a small side table with a vase of flowers on it, and several feet across from the table was a closet with even more toys in a chest and finally the door.
Adeline sat in her bed, holding an antique porcelain doll in a frilly dress and dainty shoes. She was brushing the dolls long, silky brown hair carefully. Today Adeline was alone in her home no one was around at this point, though her caretaker had left a list saying when to expect a doctor and that would hopefully be soon. She hadn’t checked the list, and couldn’t because she wasn’t supposed to get out of bed today. It wasn’t a big issue, at least not right now. The doll was her favourite; she intended to collect the rest of the dolls that went with this one, there were three because the doll was a triplet set.
“Perhaps I should play my clarinet, dear Lulu?” Adeline made the doll face her, she smile brightly at the porcelain face. Her gaze went to the window, she wanted to go outside, or at least open the window, maybe even sit in it? Would her caretaker mind? Adeline set the doll down on he bed before going to the window, and fiddling with it, she managed to open it, but not wide enough for her to see the flowers that were in the back yard. She frowned, her gaze shifted to see if anyone would be looking. Well, no one was in the house, so maybe she could. Concentrating a bit, Adeline made a small movement with her hands; it helped her channel the air movement around her better, instead of just thinking. The window opened further, but not abruptly like it had been pushed with strength. Adeline smiled “That is much better.” Her voice was soft, and bambi-like. Flowers seemed to dance slightly from the air that Adeline had conjured, she felt happy.
Maybe she'd get some visitors today? That would be very nice, Adeline began to get up now feeling as if the open window wasn't enough. She left her doll alone on the bed, crept out the door, down the hall, passed the flight of stairs that lead to her parents rooms, and out the door. Everything was normal, just like the last time she'd been outside. Hopefully someone would visit.
