Deep in the mildew caldrons of the Widow’s Keep, a lofty song is heard to be singing over the mourning of the dead long past, and to the keepers of the cross. Yet in the silence of the second, a spider can be heard, telling the past to weave it into the present age of man and let the men fall before themselves in ancient wonder.

I <3 how you seemed to tie it into the past, the crosses remind me of religion awaiting its doom. And its not just cause of the hint you gave me XD Its setting betold by the 2nd sentence fragment makes appear of ancients left in dust, but for whom only the tiny insignificant creatures such as the spider may weave and live inside its chambers, kept as some sort of remnant to things past and to things forecoming.
