Spear of Destiny, a marvel and great item of mystery, much like Excalibur when it came to might, people believed it was . It was sad to have been an item of God, something Jesus had at one point been with it, in a sense. Asha in truth, didn’t know much of the weapon, only what she had heard of books, or learned when she was mortal, attending a mortal school. If what she has learned of it, was correct, then Asha knew that what Rein held in her hands was a worthy item, but the holder was to be questioned somewhat.
“Intriguing, lost dreamer. How did you get your claws on that item? I’ve seen it in books, sketches and even a few photos, but I thought…well, not that it matters. I really should have guessed such, maybe I have guessed such?” Asha trills, feeling to sword hum elegantly. She looked to it, noticing wind seem to emit from it, creeping up her arm, causing her body to shiver with the power. Still, Asha couldn’t help but ponder her outfit, she was in a dress, never good for battle. The sword seemed to grow higher in tune, Asha felt a whoosh of magic, and her clothing had changed into riding garments, with a feeling of armour. A gentle smile came “You know what you’re doing, don’t you? Will you allow me to use you, great sword?” She received a low mellow tone, and her grip tightened. Asha closed her eyes “Cedric, please, I need your help right now.” She mumbled, touching the locket which she had received from Cedric, long ago.
Next Asha stepped forward, menacingly “Cedric, would it be okay if I loved another? Would it be okay that if I die? He is the one to cry for me?” She whispered, waving her free hand, it sparkled with intense magic. She looked around “Alex, will it be okay?” and she then yelled a word, a word for the death that may soon come. Asha charged, “Guide me!” She commanded, her hand lifting up, and aiming for Rein. Quickly Asha’s hand lowered, and then she turned aiming for Rein. Her eyes burned with determination “I shall prove to you, that playing pretend is only for those such as yourself, those who are too weak to open there eyes or hearts!” She remembered all of the warriors she had read about. Fictional characters such as Alanna of Trebond, Tania of Fairy, and Veraldaine, along with those of history, Jeanne D’Arc, Catherine the Great, Elizabeth the first, King Arthur, they’d all be great, and she could be too.
“Is that so?” Asha said, her voice soft and calm, what Rein spoke of was the truth. Although from what Rein spoke of, it seemed to have a point behind all the rambling, and intellectual facts. She knew what the woman was saying, even without her spelling it out for her. Asha gave a small smile to Rein, showing sympathy for the woman. She quickly let icy anger consume her beautiful face “You may say what you wish about I, but you are forbidden to say such hateful things about Cedric! I shan’t allow you, call him such. Cedric, just like your beloved Justin, he was great. He did many things, but on like your Justin. He didn’t use force, do you wonder why in history so much horror happened when it came to witches, warlocks, demons and vampires? It is because of actions that caused fear! The reason humanity fears us, and the reason we have fled is because of the actions of others, and events that were thrown out without realizing such destiny would happen. Did you ever think that is the reason we hide? Is because of the trouble we caused? No you did not! My Cedric saw such! You of all people believe you understand, but don’t! You only see the world with one eye.” Asha said, almost yelled. Tears streamed down her face, she hated creatures talking of Cedric in such vile words.
Asha breathed in, feeling herself struggle to remain calm and logical within before Rein, which was probably obvious. She wished right then and there, her Cedric were there, to help her, to assist her. Yet, it could not be so. She knew that she would have to stand tall, to prove that she wasn’t a pretender. That fact meant that even if she felt she was, that she would have to prove to herself she wasn’t. Asha’s eyes went serious, a dangerous aura seemed to emit from her entire being. She gave a small head raise “Rein, I can guarantee you that I am no pretender. I shall prove such.” Her tone showed she knew much. Asha’s black wisps seemed to flutter when a wind howled, power was in the air.
“As for your alliance offers, as you noticed, the timing probably wasn’t correct. I’m glad you offered, but time, and other things were to come first.” Asha spoke smoothly. Next she decided to add more “Dear Rein, you know, my William isn’t blind, not like you. You may think he is, and that I may be, or that these are words of a pretender, but they are words you may wish to take into mind.” She said, now closing her eyes. Asha began her spell “Oh, great book of magic’s, I need you now, I need your power. I call upon a spell.” The wind seemed to shimmer, a book faded into existence. Its black binding seemed old, Asha began speaking the words she had learned.
A small light emitted around the area which she stood, seeming to grow warmer, and Asha looked at Rein seriously. She gripped the object “My thoughts are, then why haven’t you taken the throne if that is the case? If it was meant to be, then why isn’t it so? I may not see the politic, and yes, it is a seat for my little a**, probably because it’s a throne, something similar to a chair, made of metal and wood, probably blessed with magic to make sure one who is meant to, can sit in it. That’s a definite no duh.” Her words were full of sassiness, Asha gave a smirk. Actually, now that she thought of it, Rein was more mortal then she thought. If she didn’t know better, Rein could very easily be one of the snotty bitches at school, one of the it girls who needed to be burned down, but that was beside the point. Asha stepped up further on the stone “By the way, I don’t need to be in your little book, and I’ll let my children make there own decisions.” She said calmly.
“Now Rein, you call me a pretender. It is time to truly see such; it is time to be rid of your blind ways. Humanity isn’t ready for you’re idea’s, the old age will not become a neo-tempest.“ Cold eyes were now gazing at the object she had, something seemed to be happening. Asha gripped the object tighter “To all vampires who have doubted, here is the truth, you wanted the truth, a answer that is of the divine! So here it is!”She breathed in. The stone seemed to crack as Asha pulled “EI call for you to echoe! Echo your voice, sing for the true Empress, and prove to those who are in doubt! Great…and radiant…” Asha raised her hand with one large yank “Excalibur!” She screamed, a light shone forth, the area seemed to change into a beautiful, flourishing garden, the as a silver circle seemed to ripple. Asha held the sword high, looking at Rein “Now, lets see what we can do about you.” And as she spoke those words, the air stopped warming, only to grow colder, like how Asha felt. The sword seemed to hum a holy tune, it was charmed, and admiring the new handler.
Thick, heavy grey fog was within the grounds where Asha sat beneath an elderly oak tree, she watched for the one she’d called for. The iron gates looks lonely, and as dark as the rest of the withering essence, the air seemed to send shivers up her spine, she began to rub her shoulders. Could a place be more desolate? When she had been here before, it hadn’t been such, now it was otherwise. Perhaps it was because she had been blinded by the ghostly aura? It was possible, though for the time being it didn’t matter. All that mattered was the present, and the actions that she had to take, actions that may be useless in the end of it all.
Not long ago, Asha had decided to take action into her own hands, not battle-wise, but she had managed to come up with a strategy that may help. Her plan had been conjured with memories of Cedric, him and her in this very place. This place, this isolate place, where she had been before she had went to the palace, which she now called home, held deep magic, magic she could use, just like her Cedric. Presently, many questioned her being the Empress, or didn’t like it, maybe because they didn’t see her fit or just wanted power for themselves. So, someone had decided, having these thoughts, that it would be useful to attempt to kill her within a chaotic attack. Well, Asha had decided, instead of making so much blood flow from this action, and have deaths that wouldn’t be needed; to act by showing she had power and was worthy of this, and rid herself of the one who had decided to storm into a peaceful game, and attempt to murder her.
Cold air glittered before Asha; this made her shift to stand up. With her powers, and maybe because of the place she was in, she had called to the one who had been in charge of the ruckus, because she felt it was a needed action, in the end the two’s confrontation would have been inevitable, even if Asha had done this another way, which there were other ways. She stood, with her arms down, and slowly felt herself grow into an emotionless comfort. So, it really was as she hoped not, if that made sense. Did it? Before her, stood the enemy whom had challenged her, the idiotic b*****d who had tried to deny Cedric is last wish. “So, Alex was right. It was one of the clan leaders; I guess that confirms my other hypothesis’s as well, dear Rein.” Asha spoke, when the woman appeared before her. Stupidity, that’s what Asha felt herself think with the expression on the woman’s face. What had she done to cause this vampire to go mad with blood killing? Perhaps, Asha should have been more careful, but it wasn’t her fault. It was probably tiny things, thrown out into a dramatic intensity. Smouldering smoke eyes stared at Rein, she began to step away, across the yard. Her voice was tinged with disappointment and sadness “Rein, you realize what you have done. Oh, by the way, please don’t say taking the throne for the rightful heir or any of that nonsense.” She said, coldly.
Heart of stone, Asha knew that’s what she was right now; Cedric had called her his stone angel at times likes this, times of seriousness and Asha being true. She glanced over her shoulder “Rein, it seems you’re not disturbed by this place, I wonder why? Is it that you know of where we are? Are you shocked that you’re here, before me? Is it strange? After all, being the one who has caused so much…suffering, and deaths of lives that didn’t need to be taken, I would wonder many things.” She stepped up a small set of iron steps, which were enclosed by gate, that lead to the rock. Asha looked at Lady Rein with pity, true pity after having her eyes emotionless “Rein, many think that I am not the one who is meant to be. Do you agree with them? Or are you hoping for the throne to be taken by you? I really would like answers.” Eyes didn’t leave Rein, she sighed.
Just childish, the reaction of the vampires Rein, they were utterly childish. Really, did she have to throw a tantrum over such a small thing such as her not having good timing? Sighing, Asha shook her head in annoyance; eyes were cold and emotionless like a black hole when she looked up. Her arms were crossed in thought, and a bit of irritation seemed to show with movements. She looked to Alex for several brief seconds, her thoughts connecting everything like a puzzle. It seemed the child had left in a fury, due to Asha not accepting her little pledge of alliance because first of all, there was havoc in her castle, some had tried to rebel against her, second that person that had was yet to be revealed, so Asha couldn’t exactly make ties with anyone yet. To Asha, all seemed a bit crooked, or at least off by five degree’s. Moments ago Asha couldn’t help but p***k her ears at the words that seemed afar, the words of a challenge. It made her mind spin with intrigue, so this was what was wanted? Someone seemed to desire her to step forward, and she may just do such a thing. Words, idea’s, calculations flung in her mind, placing themselves in order and sequence. Already a plan was being made, a thing that would help Asha a great deal. All that was needed was a tight grip, and her to go to the right place. “Alex, my sweet. I do believe that I shall show the idiots what they need, sometimes it just needs a bit of…backing before you do such a thing.” Asha said, glancing at Alex. In her mind, Asha had remembered something Cedric had done before he had died, he had taken her to a special area that was blocked by a barrier, a barrier much like her rings. The area had an iron gate, withering tree’s, and a depressing atmosphere. Asha felt herself flung back into that memory: “Asha, you know what that is.” Cedric said in her memory, they were in the melancholic fenced-in area. Asha had been staring at the tree’s. This was just after she’d been changed into a vampire, and before she had gone to the castle. Of course, they’d been near the castle but Asha hadn’t known that. Asha looked at Cedric “Um, no.” She felt herself say. Cedric gave a blue-eyed smile, causing her to feel happy, and a smile escapes her. Cedric kissed her on the forehead “It will help you in the future, I promise. You just need to call it, yell the name. A heart as noble as yours, you my dear flower, are the only one who will know. You’ll be the only one to understand.” He told her, stroking her cheek Asha frowned “What? Is something going to happen…Cedric, please.” She had pleaded, Cedric hadn’t answered, only took her in his arms, and carried her to her new home. Asha returned from her memory, still smiling, shaking her head “I understand it. I know what to do.” She whispered. Slowly looking at Alex “I have something I must do, and only I can do it. I believe that I shall challenge the one behind the scene, and stand tall to prove I am the rightful queen, and not just because I have Cedrics blood. In other words, I have an idea.” She informed him, before stepping forward, closer to her castle and to the place in her memory. It seemed that little children needed to learn. Swiftly, Asha began to hurry across the ground, determined to solve this puzzle. She had just about figured it out, in truth she was actually a bit tired of all this drama, but what better way to end Drama was with a theatrics?
Asha found herself gulping, hopefully this would work. Asha raised her hands, allowing her power to consume everything, the air seeming to vibrate from her powers. Breathing in, Asha began to think of what to say “I’m getting bored, very bored.” She called out, allowing her voice to carry. She was heading for the gates, a spell book had appeared in front of her, Asha’s wedding ring glowing “The one who is in charge, hear me. I challenge you! You seem to be hiding, hiding behind your servants, are you really so weak to do such a thing?” She called, hoping the one who had created this event would here. If not, it would leave room for her own little theatrics. Asha began to hurry, after finishing her little rant, and to the place where she’d been in her memory. All that she had to do after, entering there was to wait. Asha hadn’t taken long to get to there; she silently sat in front of a tree that was withering.
“I can understand how it would be such a spell. “ Asha responded, nonchalantly looking at Alex as she had her back to him. Her eyes were full of intrigue “Yet, all must learn this, I am a woman who is capable of many things, when I decide that there is something to be, then it is so. Boundaries, crumble, and my hands can always clasp what I wish to obtain. This is not because I’m a Vampire Empress, but…” She gave a wicked smile “…because I am me, I am Asha Tudor. I learned that from someone I hold dear, and with what his happening now, I must believe those words with all I have.” She voiced her tone serious. Yes, big ego, Asha sometimes came off as such when she was on a roll. Perhaps this was an act, but even if it were, it was the truth. Asha, just by being herself could make the laws of physics seem idiotic if she wanted to, and if she believed it to be so. In so many words, she was epic, even when she was blind to realizing it.
Still, the facts remained. Something was off, and it made Asha feel uneasy. Her words were strong, but inside she was trembling, trembling with utter fear. She forced herself to remain firm, if she wavered for a mere moment, or showed any weakness, it could be catastrophic. She was still in a world she didn’t know, the words Cedric had told her before she drank his blood, crying while doing so, stuck to her heart like glue. He had told her to be strong, but be herself, was that possible? Many times Asha thought of herself as a weak, she couldn’t understand how she was able to do things, and be like she was now, was she even being herself?
Gently smiling Asha felt a bit of comfort from Alex “Well, it will be fixed or maybe this is all a part of the game? Who knows what destiny wants to add to my scheme, it will unfold as we go along.” She shrugged. Next she sighed unhappily “I wouldn’t have minded, I would have enjoyed us being together, and I agree about the little prince. I am unsure of a lot of the status here, but he doesn’t seem like he’d be able to do this. Plus he would have come for me directly, no forces. If he had…” Asha thought of what she would have done. Perhaps toy with him? She was starting to grow fond of the little prince Zane, thinking of him as a pet. Many of the vampires were interesting, more interesting then anyone she’d ever come across.
Clear smoky eyes looked up in thought “Yes…clan heads…how many are there? I mean…what if they all joined.” Her heart was sirling and calm. Had she hurt Alex feelings by mentioning Cedric? Why was he protecting her and being so loyal? Surely he had more then just the reason of her being Empress, she wasn’t sure why. Were his words of last night true? Asha stared at Alex, not speaking a word, remaining silent. She felt her eyes draw to his neck, but snapped them away.
The moment was cut short as lovely Rein, the woman of last evening approached them, Asha felt confused. Now, what would she be doing here? What words! Asha couldn’t help but want to laugh; it was very random what Rein was doing. A smile twitched on her face, she was trying hard not to laugh. Of all the times to make a declaration of loyalty, it wasn’t that it was not welcome, just the timing. Asha grew serious “Dear Rein, I apologize but as you can see, timing isn’t grand. It seems…we have a rebellion among us, it is good to see you…” Asha paused “Persistent, but this is not the time. We must figure out…who is behind this.” She was trying not to sound rude, but her words were true. This was not the time to be doing this, if she had done it once it was all over and settled, Asha would have gladly taken it, not now, there was more to deal with. An uncertain smile came “Correct Alex, dear heart? We have business…” She was no avoiding looking at him to long, she was worried. Her reaction was being straight. Where was William too? Should he not be there? It was beginning to annoy Asha , all this drama, if she had wanted drama she would have sincerely gone to the move theatre or latest play in her home tow! God! Asha put her hands behind her back, fiddling with Cedrics ring “Who could it be?” She sounded daze, black whisps fluttering behind her, revealing her neck, and the fact she was not paying much attention.
