Starry sky by Hal was a soothing tune for December, she hadn’t heard it in a while, maybe she could find her CD? She only had about half her songs on her I pod, which was sad. She had hoped to fill them all up by this month, it didn’t happen. Not at all. Blonde wisps tickled her cheek, she’d went home for a few moments, but quickly decided to return to shopping, her clothing was the same, her ribbon the same, but no matter how you looked at it, she seemed cleaner. Yuina hadn’t been home yet, so December had decided to bust some boredom, she had found a message on the machine stating that Yuina was at a meeting, some terrible events had arisen, it was about the new comer. Well, at least that meant pizza later, December decided instead to obtain take-out,, at Yuina’s favourite place, she walked the paved street’s of Japan, and then took a terminal into the major shopping district. It was easy.
Streets were filled with the usual hustle and bustle in Shimbuya Tokyo, it was always like this on pretty days, especially pretty days, even if it was technically nigh time compared to other area’s of the planet. A whistle of air slipped through Decembers delicate fingers, it played with her hair, and whispered words, words of sadness of somewhere far away, where pain was being caused by one of the elementals, someone was causing suffering. It made Decembers heart weep with sorrow, why would someone do such? The elements were meant to bring harmony, meant to unite, and defend! She shook her head, the wind begged her to go after this seen, telling her that it would lift her high, sending her with immense speed to the area, in only seconds. One of Younha’s latest hits went off, it was December’s cell phone, and the ring tone was meant for Yuina, it was usually an important call if Yuina said she couldn’t make coming to see her, and if December was allowed to go out on her own. Yuina always knew that she loved shopping alone, rarely disturbed her, so December opened the phone, it was a sleek I-phone, with a light-blue skin that had stars on it, along with a cartoon rabbit. This had been her birthday gift last year, December cherished it. Quietly she answered “Yes, December speaking. Oh Yuina!” She spoke a little loudly. Her blue eyes shone, and then dimmed. Yuina’s beautiful voice came through, melodic as always, December knew she got her sining from Yuina “Listen, sweetie, we have an issue in the states. Seems a group that is like our but, well, negative has decided to do a bit of havoc right in Washington, sadly. We should get there by jet, and you could come, I’d prefer that but the higher ups stated that they need you to use youe element, the wind, I know it has already whispered to you, you were always one of it’s favourites…so…December.” She paused, as she did when Yuina didn’t like something, but had to do it anyway.
“Yes, it did, Mom. It did. It says that he is like me, but different. I will get there soon, promise. I will be fine, the air is my friend, and it won’t let me down. You don’t need to worry; I’ll get there and stop the idiocy. I really will be alright, it must be important if you had to call me now. I understand that entirely, I’ll see you there, promise.” December responded, gently. Yuina was tearing up on the other end; she was sitting in a jet, on her way to the scene where December would be several moments before her, hopefully, maybe even hours. Her little girl was growing up so wonderfully, still, Yuina worried. She didn’t want December facing this one yet, not yet, especially now that she was doing immensely well lately. Yuina’s black hair was tied in a bun, she wore a formal suit, and had the same phone as Yuina, but a different skin. She nodded “Okay, baby. I’ll see you there, English, remember!” and she turned the phone off. A tear came “This may be problematic.” She whispered, the chief of Eden was beside her. He looked stern, very grumpy, which was from all his years in Eden, his Grandfather was the creator of it, and his father was the one who got in contact with The Balance, making a great team. His eyes went to Yuina, he scowled “Her memories won’t be aroused yet, besides, she was nothing more then a year old, she wouldn’t know to much, besides, the boy wouldn’t dare go after her, he’ll probably just see her as a threat, or some pretty girl. Correct, Clove?” He asked the Clove, who was across from them. Clove shrugged, his power was future sight, his sister could see the past, he could see the future, and events that happened at the moment he was seeing them. Clove looked up “Sure.” His mind was obviously elsewhere, on top of being a bit drugged, which rarely happened in Eden or The order, unless there were certain circumstances that needed those drugs. Yuina was thankful that December never needed those drugs.
Back in the area that December was in, Winds whispered thrilling words to December, she went to a docile area, she found a perfect place, it was fenced by wood, and no one ever came around because most of the shops were closed by now, even some weren’t in business anymore. As she walked through this area, into the field’s center, December wondered about the person using his or her power for this, the winds told it was a male, apparently a male with her ability, or what seemed to be. She had thought that she was the only one that had this power in a long time, even though it was proven she probably was not the only one, she’d always known that. For the longest time December had wished she had someone like her, the other kids were like her, but it wasn’t the same, well, maybe this was a lost friend? Maybe it would be so. December put her fingers together, one on top of the other “Well, I best get going. Please, send me swiftly, as fast as you can. My clothing will keep me safe, you know that.” She said to the air, it responded by a large rush of air hitting her. In a large blast, December was in the air, leaving some of the fences bruised, other nearly broken from such power. Air currents swirled in, and around her body, more out, December noticed how the sky changed into a brilliant cerulean instead of the dark midnight blue with twinkling stars. If someone saw December they’d just rub there eyes and says “I just thought…” or even assume that she was an angel, mainly because of her blonde hair.
Finally December passed Yuina’s plane, waving for a brief moment, not that they’d see her, she was already very far ahead when she had waved, was it even possible for someone to go this fast without elemental use? If it had been another situation they’d have used Spirit, a girl that was nine to send December into a wormhole, appearing in Washington, but Spirit was in Beijing right now, her powers had been a bit troublesome when it came to sleep, her appearing out of the blue in Spain or Italy while dreaming of them, if she was. December finally came to the USA, she had clearance, and she flashed her little badge at an air pilot. Her heart pounded with thrill, she saw the white house, words in English flittered around her mind, and hopefully her accent wouldn’t come through too thick. Would it? Sadness overwhelmed her when she saw the fires, the pained looks on the citizens, her eyes were wide with worry “How could that person? They are fools at times, but they haven’t…been…well, the innocent don’t need attacked. They are just doing what they always do, live.” She whispered, her mouth slightly covered from the worry.
Like an angel descending from the heavens, the wind brought her down from the several feet she was flying in. She looked at the fire, she’d come down harshly, blowing out the flames around her, and even sending the sand on top of the flames if there were any, that way she’d be able to get started on soothing the element. Just as planned December landed, she landed in kneeling position, the air went rushing out around her, snuffing out any fire that was near, and did just as she hoped it would do. Gracefully she stood up, looking around, then shaking her head, she went to a nearby fire, inside what seemed to be an insurance company, probably owned by some man who wasn’t making a lot. How sad, December went to the fire, it was filled with rage, the rage of the one who had brought it to life “Hush, now, this rage you feel, there is no need for it.” She reached out her hand, the fire hissed at her, December responded with a smile “Please, could you…stop?” She asked, it was in her control. The fire went out, immediately, coiling back down, stopping immediately. The sky was clear, beautiful; it wouldn’t be for long, no matter what the forecast sad. December exhaled with a tint of melancholy, as if it were not at all strange for her to be doing such in the midst of a city.
Still, there was work to be done, work from her, December looked to the sky, she felt sad that all this was caused by one person; she used her powers to summon the rain. The sky grew dark, Yuina had just landed, when she saw the rain clouds, her heart skipped a beat, December! The woman sprinted up the stairs, and headed for her child. December felt the rain begin falling, starting small, the growing large, she managed to make the rain avoid her own space, it falling around her, blue eyes searched for the man who caused it. Who was he? No one was near, thankfully, the rain seemed to be helping the situation, but what if it stopped? God, she hoped not. December looked around, began walking, decided to not bother with avoiding getting wet, she dropped her rain guard, allowing the water to hit her, she didn’t mind, not one bit. Her eyes searched “Hello?” She called, angelic blue eyes wide, full of worry. Her delicate features seemed to emphasize her emotion beautifully, she raised her hand to brush a blond strand hair out of her face “Hello?” She called again. At that point December found out her tie had come out of her hair “Oh!” She began searching for it, there it was! It was soaked, but fine. December picked it up “There you are!” She stopped, and looked around. Was someone watching her? Yuina was already near the site.
