Chapter 36
Little Nero was terrified at the sight of Ryo. He was engulfed in black aura, his eyes were pitch black with blood streaming down and there was a hole in his chest where his heart is supposed to be. He no longer looked human, he started to look like an evil demon from the depths of hell.
Nero: *terrified* R-R-Ryo-san?
Ryo: *laughs manaically, turns to Sentaro* Hey, Freaky Eyes! D'you wanna play? Well then, let's play, tough guy! *charges at him, strikes him with his scythe*
Sentaro: *blocks the attack, they begin to fight*
Nero: Ryo-san, oniichan! Stop fighting! You guys are supposed to be friends. *runs towards them*
Edward: *grabs Nero's arm* Wait, it's too dangerous!
Nero: But, something's wrong! We have to stop them!
Bella: *shivers* What's this sudden fear I'm feeling? it's as if Ryo's some sort of demon.
Eurydice: *watching from above* Hahaha! Oh, this is so much fun. But, now it's time to say good bye. *summons dark aura in her hand* Finish them off, my puppet. *suddenly an arrow strikes her hand, the aura vanishes* GAH!!! What the-?! *she looks forward and sees Elena* You!
Elena: Your spell's broken, Eurydice! It's over!
Eurydice: You b***h! You ruined everything!
Sentaro: *his eyes returned to normal, ceased attacking* Huh? What happened?
Nero: *gasp* Oniichan, you're back to normal! *ran to him and hugged him*
Edward: Are you all right?
Sentaro: Y-Yea, I'm fine.... But, what was I doing?
Bella: Sentaro-kun, look out!
Sentaro: What?! *sees Ryo preparing to attack, blocks his scythe strike* You moron! What are you doing?!
Ryo: *laughs evilly* Our fun isn't over yet! *shoots fire at them*
Nero: AAH!
Sentaro: *grabs Nero, jumps out of the way* You're not Ryo. Who are you?
Ryo: *charges at him*
Sentaro: Not talking, huh? Fine. *blocks attack, grabs Ryo's head* It's time for you to take a nap. *his eyes glowed*
Ryo: Huh? What're you-? *slowly closes his eyes, unconcious*
Nero: Oniichan, what did you do?
Sentaro: Just a bit of hypnosis. He's asleep now.
Nero: Oh cool.
Sentaro: *lifts him up* We should head back to camp. *carries him back to camp*
Elena: *at the camp, sees them approaching* Sentaro-kun, you're okay! You're no longer under Eurydice's control.
Sentaro: *sets Ryo down* What do you mean?
Elena: Well, you were feeling pain in your chest, then you suddenly began to attack us. Eurydice was controlling you, but don't worry, I broke her spell. Unfortunetly, she got away.
Sentaro: Is that so?
Elena: Yea, I'm sorry....
Sentaro: *turns to Elena* Don't worry, the next time we see her, we'll stop her. Together.
Elena: *smiles* Yes. Together. *looks down at Ryo* What happened to Ryo-kun?
Sentaro: I'm not sure. He, too, began attacking for no reason. I believe he was possessed by some sort of demon, or perhaps it's some sort of dark spell... I'll have to ask Luthor, since he seems to be an expert in the dark arts.
Elena: Oh my....
Sentaro: *sighs* It looks like her spell wore me down. I'm so tired.
Elena: Yea, we all need to rest. We've been through alot. *she lies down* G'night. *closes her eyes, sleeps*
Sentaro: *turns around, sees Nero looking down* What's wrong?
Nero: Huh? Oh nothing...
Sentaro: *approaches him* You know you can't hide anything from me.
Nero: Oh yea... Well.... Oniichan, do you think I'm useless?
Sentaro: Hm? What makes you say that?
Nero: *tearing up* Well, I can't fight and my magic can't hurt anything. I'm no good. WAAHH!!!
Sentaro: *kneels down* Don't worry, i'm sure you're good at something. You just need someone to help you find your talent, that's all.
Nero: *sniff* Okay.... Say, that big lady dragon, Miss Ryuna, was your teacher, right? Do you think she could teach me?
Sentaro: Uhh.... *looks down, shudders* Um, I don't think that's a good idea. Maybe you should find someone else to teach you.
Nero: Oh, um, okay.
Sentaro: *yawns* Anyway, it's getting late. We'll worry about this tomorrow. Let's get some sleep. *lies down*
Nero: Okay. Good night, oniichan. *lies down, sleeps*
Sentaro: Good night. *closes his eyes, goes to sleep*
The next day, Kitty wakes up from days of bedrest.
Kitty: *slowly opens her eyes* huh? Where am I?
Ryuna: *hugs Kitty* Thank goodness, you've awaken!
Kitty: Senpai? What are you doing here? What happened?
Ryuna: *shows her a crimson feather* No boubt, that b*****d Xiaolon harmed you and Shouta.
Kitty: That's right..... *gasp* Shouta-kun! Shouta-kun's-!
Ryuna: Don't worry, he survived. He's all better now.
Kitty: Really? *sighs of relief* Thank goodness..... Wait, where is Shouta-kun?
Ryuna: He's outside, training with Luthor. Sheesh, why are men like that? I've told him a million times that Shouta needs to rest or else his wounds will reopen.
Kitty: Shouta-kun! *runs out of the cave*
Ryuna: Kitty, wait! *sighs* Geez....
Kitty: *goes outside, sees Shouta and Luthor swordfighting*
Luthor: Hah, it seems you have gotten stronger since the last time I trained you.
Shouta: *smiles* Hm, well what do you expect, Master?
Kitty: Shouta-kun! *runs towards him*
Shouta: *turns around* Kitty-chan?
