oh, Cupid's arrow isn't dead, dear. he just has the worst aim. he seems to hit everyone around you, doesn't he? what you haven't taken into account is that on the other side, y'know, the side you're not on, she witnesses everything. she's often told you that she's intelligent and fiery. a butterfly, if I'm not mistaken. she notes that sometimes, wooing words are words that woo all. and they are used to woo all. the same words you used to woo her. so spare her, darling Eros. she tried to give you her heart, despite the fact that she was so reluctant to relinquish it. as much as she wishes she were, she is not blind, nor will she ever be. never again. she thought she'd be different. not just another paramour, but an equal, on your level. of course, it has been assumed that she isn't. of course, Cupid doesn't take that into consideration. what he takes is aim, although not very good aim, and he fires with wild abandon. he sits back, assumes that he's done his job, bringing love into otherwise bleak lives. you're in pain, sweetie? imagine the pain of seeing your lover loving everyone one but the one he's supposed to love. you're bleeding, honey? what do you know about the wounds that love can inflict? you've always gotten what you wanted.
and there's that saying. you know, the one that goes: You don't know what you have til' it's gone.
say au revoir. ♥jas.
