Somewhere over the rainbow,
the young don't die,and hate is a forgotten word
Once in a lullaby
But it never ends..we only pretend,
and turn the other cheek...when a child
is getting beat down the street,
cause of his color
He looks up to the sky for his mother, and
smiles
He'll soon join her and be held in God's arms
We look to society for help...But only hate
and discriminate are plastered on every wall
And those who defend themselves from the
racial backstabbing amongst our fellow man,
you can hear their battle call..through the
gun shot, which they are only remembered as
dots in this world...
God looks down...disappointed...we fell so far
from his grace, when he created this place
Drive byes and Drug ties...what are we doing?
We wanted this world to be a safer place...
but all we are doing is spreading the hate..
And teaching this, this is our children's fate
Somewhere over the rainbow,
the young don't die,and hate is a forgotten word
Once in a lullubye
What have we done?
The damage is done...
we cannot undo what we've done...
And now humanity don't get the simplicity
that change can accure, but we are so insecure
that we have to be on top
We have been fighting this disease unstop
One day it will come to an end
We'll be remembered as an has been
We should have made the change
Now even the history books won't take our names
Somewhere over the rainbow,
the young don't die,and hate is a forgotten word
Once in a lullabye
