Hey people.
So, Mike and I are in a fight right now. Well, we have been for more than a week now. I'd rather not get into that at the moment, but if you'd like to know feel free to ask later. We have stopped any contact for now whatsoever. Our relationship isn't over yet, at least I don't think so, but whatever. Let's focus on the positive!!!
Today I had conferences with my parents and teachers. All of my teachers love me to my parents' surprise. ESPECIALLY my AP Chem and my English teachers. They are hilarious!!! Well, my English teacher is just old man adorable. He sees me with my parents and gets this instant rush of energy, literally jumping out of his seat. Then after introductions, he says, "Eva is an amazing student! She is such a joy to have around! So funny, yet so intelligent and thoughtful. A perfect combo, don't you think?" My parents just looked at us both as if he were crazy and I were a liar or something.
But my favorite was my AP Chem teacher. He was so funny!!! Here's the basic convo:
Teacher: "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez!"
Parents: "Hello, Mr. Bartlett. How's Eva doing in AP Chem?"
T: "Eva is fantastic! She is one of my best students ever!"
*Parents eye me suspiciously*
*I turn red and shrink in my seat*
P: "I think you have her mistaken with another student. She never studies!"
T: "Well then, she must be a genius! She has aced every single one of my quizzes and tests, and her homework is perfect. She teaches the class. Heck, she even teaches ME sometimes!"
*Parents are silent, looking at teacher in disbelief*
*Teacher is grinning enthusiastically*
*I'm just staring at them with wide eyes*
P: "Are you serious? You can't actually be serious."
T: "I AM serious! I'm DEAD serious!"
P: "So she's a great student..."
T: "I haven't had a student like Eva since Kansas."
P: "Kansas?"
T: "Yeah, that's where I got married."
P: "Uh..."
*Teacher laughs like this:*
T: "Ahurhurhur."
*I look at him, completely weirded out and not understanding*
*My parents are doing the same thing that I am*
T: "Well, Eva is great. Just sayin'. It's been a pleasure having her so far."
*I grin*
*Parents think that he's either high, drunk, or I've seduced him, so they look at us both suspiciously*
*Teacher grins and waves goodbye*
(After we've left)
P: "Did you seduce him, Eva? Tell us the truth."
Me: "Why the hell would I seduce my teacher?!?! Do you think of me as some sick, mental slut?!?!? I'm not! You freaks!"
P: "Well, it happens in other places..."
Me: "So?!??! You psychos! You think I would do that? Fine. I'll just drive out of here myself. Bitches."
P: "Did you actually earn those grades?"
Me: "Thanks for admitting to me that you think I'm stupid. Yes, I earned those grades. Are you happy? You should be. If not, please do the world some good and jump into the ocean. Thanks."
P: "We don't think you're stupid... we are actually proud of you after you said that."
Me: "It took you two long enough to believe it."
P: "Sorry. Will you come in the car with us now?"
Me: "Sorry. I'm not. I'm getting Dim Sum with my friends. Peace."
So yeah. Now... THREE DAY ******** WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD
