Beautiful, searing pain. Absolutely blissful agony. Hot steaming blood pouring over cool alabaster skin, staining it red. A stuttering heart beats erraticaly, faster and faster. The blood flow slows now to a stop, a beating heart stilled eternaly. A black shape drops from the sky, coming to a stop at the lifeless body. The crow with its beady black eyes stared into the dead mans blank empty ones. The crow hops forward, onto the dead mans chest, leaving bloody talon-prints. The crow lets loose a long, loud, foreboding caw. The cry of Death itself. It screams into the darkness, the sound fading into the night as does the light during the sunset. It is a sound of Death, of lost hope, of fear. As the night grows deeper the crow becomes invisible, save for it's beady black eyes. It feasts. The dead mans body and soul part as the crow feasts. So, to the gates its takes the body and soul (the latter in it's bloated belly) and leaves the soul to be judged. Then back to the night it flew, the feathered.
