MY LIFE LESSON things i learned in life through poetry

Community Member
Your name is brought up casually,
just as you would the weather,
knowing that you are delicate
like a pidgeon's pewter feather.

You mistake my curiosity
for an insensitive remark,
and we regress back
to where we always start.

I want to see your flesh,
your bony, spindle fingers
and hold your hand dearly
as your brotherly touch lingers.

To play in the sandbox,
would an ideal scene,
Stealing each other's toys -
a reccuring scheme.

You caused tension in my family,
and you still continue to
It's not your fault, but my life
has always been about you.

You are the wound that tore us apart,
and we have never even met.
But I do not know when we will;
the date, Destiny has set.

So until then, I will continue
praying for you, love.
And until the date we meet,
watch me from up above.
