April 27, 2011 Day *16/365
*Starting off where I left.
You can kill me now. I haven't been so committed to this whole "365 Challenge." So, since I forgot what happened last week, I'll just start off where I left. Lesee, well, yesterday, our journalism class's third issue of the newspaper came out. I wrote about how our school turned eco-friendly. One of the science teachers I interviewed complimented me.
Today at school was a half-day. Why, I don't know. I didn't eat out, since no one was available, so I ate left-over chicken and rice.
At school, we had a bake sale in lunch to boost the Student Council's funds. We are going Massachusetts for a field trip. Yesterday, my room mates for the trip baked sugar cookies and brownies. It was also Cat's birthday yesterday. And the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl meltdown in Ukraine.
The Royal Wedding is on Friday...but I won't be able to see it. Actually, I just want to see the wedding dress...and the ceremony...and reception...Yeah, whatever. I want to see it all~
Origami club is on a mission to make one thousand paper cranes. Legend has it that a person can make a wish. Pretty cool.
Tomorrow, my team is on duty for the Chile Pepper Research Lab. Have I explained that? I'll explain it in case I haven't. The research is run by a science teacher. Cool guy, he's secret identity is "Joey Bee." But that information isn't needed. So. We're conducting a research on how to improve the methods of growing plants, specifically, Chile Peppers. We're trying to find a way to use the "Chinese Rub Down" method with a green house-load of plants. If the green house was smaller, workers can rub down the plant, but it's HUGE. Oh, the teams are taking a field trip to the farm, we hope. So, we're using powerful fans to knock the plants down. This way, the plants will have shorter, but thicker stems. And we're researching what nutrients we can give the crops. So far, we're testing Chamomile tea, fish emulsion, and kelp. The fish emulsion smells BAD. Then, after we're done, we can take home some Chile Pepper plants...yum.
Oh, and the same teacher gave us a pop quiz, but I studied and was prepared. He won't be there tomorrow, but the team still has to go tomorrow morning.
One more thing... I've discovered communitychannel on youtube...she's soooo funny! I like her humor C:
Okie, byeee~
