Athenaeum

I wrote this over coffee yesterday morning. A tale of lovers whom never share their feeling.

Unspoken

We never say it

In the thralls of passion
Even when pushed to the edge
Waves of ecstasy washing over
Consuming us in lust and exhilaration
It goes unsaid

Combining in that fevered frenzy
Tongues loose, hearts racing
Desire laced with the slightest touch of guilt
Those words never grace our lips
Our sin goes unjustified

Between kisses, heated breathes
Caressing, exploring one another
Our mutual excitement builds
A dance we've long since memorized
Chased brushes, pleasant stroking
Simple steps in this frolic for two
Curiosity satisfied time and time again

In all things exchanged
Sighs, moans, intoxication with pleasure
The shared madness of our own Eden
Tangled in each other, searching for something that can not be found with in ourselves
Never once
