So, as Sonja and I talked on the phone, we were going over plans. She had a lot to do today, but she still wanted to come over and hangout. So had to go buy Marissa's birthday present, the iPod Nano. eek 3nodding
Then it was to the insurance company, but she wasn't really into doing that, so she said she'd come over later today. I was glad, hadn't seen her for a while, but I was stressing because we had like nothing to do here. Kelly got home from school while I was watching Sophia. Then, later, Sonja showed up knocking on the door. I was impressed, because she had made it to my house, but I was also relieved, because even though she had said it would be a while, I was starting to get worried. She and Kelly caught up on things, and then Sophia got fussy, since no one was paying attention to her. So we watched her ride her rocking horse, Cotton Candy. She still got irritable, so Kelly pulled out what I like to call, "The Great Equalizer" that I need in my baby-sitting arsenal. It was a Wiggles tape. We sat with Kelly and watched Sophia watch it, and even watched it ourselves, laughing and how ridiculouse this was, and how thank God we're older now or we'd get sucked into this stuff.
The pirate, Captain Feathersword, was the coolest though, that dance and the song, a ring rang rong, a bing bang bong. xd It's terrible, it's so dumb, but you can't stop watching, it's the excess of colors, it's how they get you.
So, there we sat, still with nothing to do, but Kelly cooked up some leftover chiken with some pasta and broccoli, and some garlic toast. It was nice to sit down and have a nice meal, Sonja said it had been forever, now she understands what I meant by that. Afterwards, Kelly asked us if she wanted to go with her and Sophia to Burlington Coat Factory, so since we had nothing to do, we went off with her. There's a Circuit City nearby though, so we went to that instead, since neither of us had any money to buy a bunch of clothes, and Burlington is expensive.
We just did the usual thing teenagers do when they've got no money, we touched and messed with everything. We went on Gaia on the Circuit City computers just to do it, and watched this Japanese video off of YouTube of this chicken and a cat that are like brothers, it was really cool. Then we went on Deviant Art and looked at one of Sonja's new drawings of Rebecca's avatar. Sonja went off to look for some movies, I messed with the iPods and the video games. She managed to find this copy of some movie about tigers called, "The Ghost and THe Darkness", and from there that was all I heard about until we got back home. blaugh xp
When we got home, we bugged around on MySpace for a minute looking at all these "bulletin horoscopes", then we watched America's Got Talent for a while until it got real late. I walked Sonja to the bus stop, then got online until I was tired. Sonja said she made it home alright, and Marissa loved the iPod. Dorothy the Dinosaur's got hip-hop moves to take down Mr. Wiggles. Hey, maybe that's where he got that name from. xd
