Chapter 11: ......
A large line was formed as soldiers carried the newly aquired supplies from one point to another, so they could move on to their next destination. The pace was quicker than usual, and many of the resistance forces were questioning why; the rumor spreading was that their fearless leader Ryuu was paranoid because he's an Dark Elf outcast.

They had no idea how correct they were.

X tossed the sack on his shoulder, into a wagon, then wiped the sweat away from his forehead with his arm. "Man, we're really burning rubber right now." X turned to Ryuu, who was sitting on a tree branch, watching everybody work at a fast pace. "How long are we going to work like this oh fearless one?"

Ryuu snorted at the "fearless" comment. "Not much longer. If we keep up the pace, we'll be packed and ready to go within 20 minutes."

"Bah!"

Psicosis tossed another sack and sat on the edge of the wagon. "The sooner the better, I'm getting sore. And why aren't you two working with us," Psicosis yelled as he pointed at Ryuu, and Twighlight.

"I'm overseeing," muttered Ryuu.

"I'm a lady, I don't have to do mediocre labor."

"Now wait just one cotton pickin' minute!" Psicosis quickly stood up and pointed at Twighlight, "don't try that manipulative 'I'm a lady' junk on me Rosey! That didn't stop you all those other times! And what's with you guys?!" X slowly slid away from Psicosis, as did anybody else near him. Psicosis was utterly confused as to why everybody decided to move away...

... Until a rock the size of a child's head smacked Psicosis in the forehead with enough force to send him sky rocketing towards X, who side steped just in time, allowing Psicosis to slam into a tree.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me Rosey?!"

"I think this'd be the 578'th time Rose," muttered the nervous Dark Elf as he checked off the last few task on a piece of paper.

Twighlight pulled out one of her whips and started to chase after Psicosis, while Ryuu placed the piece of paper in his pocket, and jumped off the tree. "Hey X," Ryuu called out, "I'm going for a walk, try to keep the rampage to a minimum while I'm gone, will ya?"

X's normal, emotionless expression changed to a confused, and slightly surprised look. "Yeah, sure. But... Where are you going?"

"Out for a walk," Ryuu called out as he waved his hand and walked off into the distace. "Oh, if I'm not back in a hour, leave without me."

Ryuu felt the tall grass brush his legs as he moved forward, his hands jammed inside his pockets, one carefully holding a small, hidden dagger. The elf slowly made his way up the small hill, where two men in greyish-black armor, both weilding wooden spears with a saw-like steel-tip. One wore a helmet that hid every thing but his two glowing eyes while the other wore a circular steel-plated head-piece that covered his forehead area, as well as his ears and his left eye.

"How long have you two been waiting...?"

"Long enough," muttered the fully armored warrior as both turned away from Ryuu.

"He's Waiting," the other called out as the two began to move, "I take it you're not going to fight to escape, so if you'll be so kind to follow us..."

"Smug bastards," Ryuu muttered with a snort, as he followed the two silently, his fingers still twitchingly wraped around his dagger.

Ryuu was led deep into a cave near the village where he purchased supplys. The cave was dark, and had many forked paths, the long narrow hall was lit up by rows of arge torches nearly a yard from each other, never to burn out thanks to magic. The walls were smoothed out aside from certain spots that had sword and spear marks. As he was led further into the cave, the blade marks became more and more freqeunt. The scarred walls of the cave silently informed Ryuu that a battle had occured, and raised many questions in Dark Elf's mind.

"Here..." Ryuu snapped back into reality and looked torwards the young guard wearing the head piece. "We are not allowed in here without permission, but you were specialy requested, so we will take our leave."

"Uh-huh," Ryuu muttered, somewhat unsure whether or not the guards would stab him in the back the second they had the chance or not.

"Oh... And please take your hand off of your dagger. We have no intentions to kill you."

'Son of a-' thought Ryuu. 'He knew this whole time, and didn't tell me... They must be high ranking soldiers...'

The Guard wearing the helmet opened the door, then both passed Ryuu and disapered into another section of the cave. Ryuu didn't bother to look back at the two, insted he entered the dark room and closed the door behind him. As the door shut behind him, the lights suddenly came on. In each corner of the room, two torches lit by magical fire stood, while one large torch stood in the middle of the room, lit by an erie purple flame. In front of the torch, sat an elderly man, his thining hair and long beard were bone white, and his dark brown skin was now turning to a pale tan color.

"Before I begin," the elderly man started, "I must tell you..." The old man lifted his head and opened his eyes, showing that he had no pupils, "we should have listened to you in the first place..."

X crossed his arms and leaned against a cart, watching as the soldiers loaded the last few supplys. As he turned his head torward the nearby hill, he noticed a lone figure headed towards them. "What took you...?"

Ryuu stopped at the side of X. "I had buisness to finish..."

"Okay. So where are we headed next?"

"West."

"West... Wait, isn't that where-"

"Yeah, we're headed to the center of the Dark Elf Empire..."
