Whoa! You mean being under mental duress for an extended amount of time due to someone else's stupid mistake ACTUALLY gives inspiration?! Oh that and Spotify... Without further ado... lets throw ideas at the wall! biggrin
---
"Ugh..." A familiar voice groans. Eyes open slightly at first, stinging from the sudden sunlight above. Trees rustle in the breeze, birds chirp and fly overhead in the branches.
An ache at the back of my head brings everything into focus, eyes close at the sudden sharpness of everything. Something tickles at my foot, pecking it softly. A chirp. I struggle to sit up, pushing my back against a nearby tree trunk. The small bird hops up onto the toes of my right foot, looking at me curiously. I wiggle my toes and it hops to my lower left leg. I feel too weak to shoo it away, so we stare at each other for a few long moments before I check my surroundings.
As my ears had picked up, huge trees surround me, waving in the breeze above. I appear to be sitting just off to the side of a dirt path through this seemingly endless jungle. There are some foxes sitting nearby that seem undisturbed by my presence.
I'm not quite sure where I ended up, but it's rather peaceful here... The ache at the back of my head comes into focus again. I wince, attempting to massage the source of my pain with one hand, noticing the strange length of my hair. It seems shorter somehow. The pain subsides.
I hold up my hand, noticing I am wearing unfamiliar clothing. A quick glance downward, patting the familiar yet unfamiliar outfit I am now in. I breathe heavily, glancing about at the trees, then back at myself.
"Wait... no no no no no... this can't be real..." I mutter to myself, running my hands through the short purple bowl cut of hair, feeling the smooth curvature of this new face I'm wearing... I pinch myself, wincing at the pain. The little bird from earlier is still watching me, having hopped on over to my left, just out of arms reach.
"I... how the hell is this...? How is this possible...?" I speak aloud in his voice.
"I-I know! I'll just have to find... I have to find Nahida... S-she'll know what to do... right? How in the hell am I supposed to explain this i-if any of this guy's enemies show up tho?! ARGH!" Squeezing the sides of my head in frustration, I shudder at the thought, especially since I know nothing of how to use a vision or elemental powers. The bird hops back, startled, then chirps once and flies off.
After a while I attempt to stand up, pressing my back and one hand holding onto the tree trunk. I feel weak, but I manage to stand with both hands on the trunk. I notice the signature wide-brimmed hat this person wears laying on the ground nearby. I figure it would be best to bring it along if for nothing else but protection from the sun. Wobbling a bit, I make my way to the hat and put it on, readjusting to it's weight. Next to the hat there appears to be a sturdy stick that could be used for balance, so I take the walking stick and commence hobbling down the dirt path. Perhaps this will lead me to somewhere else familiar and I can get my bearings...
