Ehe~

Hobbling down the hill, I continue forward on the path. Ahead I can make out the shapes of buildings and the massive form of a tree. There appears to be a river to my left leading toward the tree city. The sound of rushing water gets louder as I approach a bridge. To my left, a waterfall rushes downward, continuing off to my right and into another part of the jungle. I stop at the top of the bridge, leaning against the natural grown root railing with a huff. The sun beats down, but it isn't overly hot with the light spray coming off the waterfall.
"Okay so, I just have to find Nahida. Not sure how I'm supposed to do this... especially as public enemy number 1..." As I think aloud to myself, I gesture at the air a bit, causing people to glance at me as they cross the bridge and move along quickly. Ah frick! I bet I look crazy! I stop gesturing, slapping the sides of my face and closing my eyes. "I just need to refocus! Yeah! I'll find the Archon no worries! Optimism! Alright, time to go." I shake my head, pick up my walking stick, and continue across the bridge into town at the base of the tree.
There are a few stalls setup to my right. People mill about the street to buy the produce on sale. I walk on, spotting a bench near a view overlooking some docks and more stalls below. Surprised no one has tried to arrest me yet... hm...
I feel the sudden urge to sit on the bench to take another rest. My head hurts... it's been a while since the headache had hit me. I feel... tired...? The world around me starts to darken, the people all abruptly disappear, streetlamps blaze on, but everything is fading faster... darker...
"AGH!" Sudden pain, my body feels like it's on fire. Something attaches to my back, holding me in place as I writhe. I hear distant voices, but can't make them out. All I know is pain and then... Surrounded in darkness, something starts to come into focus...
My limbs feel heavy. An overwhelming energy washes over my body. Everything is suddenly electric, whirring and humming to a steady beat. I move an arm across the circular room I appear to be in.
"What is...?" I hold the arm in view for a moment. "How did... this happen...? ARGH!" My body is wracked with pain again as the energy around me is pumped into my spine.
The sound of footsteps, voices speaking hurriedly. All I know is I want the pain to stop. I swipe at the owners of the voices with a massive mechanical hand. They dodge. I try to smash them with a closed fist, they sidestep. I can see one of them is a small green child. I think they're trying to reason with me, but I can't think with all this energy drowning me out. I feel myself slipping away...
Some other stuff happens, but it's all a blur until the energy finally dies down. Everything is sore, the back tubes holding me in the head of this machine start to give and I fall to the ground. "Th-this isn't w-what I wanted... stupid u-universe..." I grumble before everything goes black...
