I haven't been in the mood for writing anything, I got really lazy and had this lapse, plus I've been pretty sick and haven't been able to reach a computer for a while, never mind get some time to write in my journal. I still have all those past entries to catch up on, I haven't even done the one about my birthday, so shameful. I need to stop doing placemarkers or something.
School has been fine, for the few times in the past two weeks I've actually attended school. I knew I might start doing this, the only plus side is that I'm incredibly lucky to end up feeling like going on certain days that really matter, like when I had my test in Psychology or the in-class essay for English. I need to check and see how I did on that Psychology test, I got an 86 for the essay, considering I came up with the whole thing in like 45 minutes without having been in the class for over a week I'd say that's pretty ok.
Work has been good, we're almost done with the Halloween stuff, it's getting to the bottom of the barrell, costumes are being thrown around by desperate parents, lights and toys scattered across shelves for that last little piece of hope for those of you that didn't get off your a** but still somehow expect us to deliver. Pfft. A thousand pardons, but nay, this shopkeep has none for you, begone.
I've slowly been working in different departments now, getting in all the areas, and now that I'm trained to work the register and stuff, it's nice to help out in nearly everything. They put up a little notice on out bulletin board though, saying that this year they don't want any Team Members dressing up on Halloween, they still want us in our red and khaki. So I was going to ask Skip, the Human Resources guy if there's stuff I can do to get around it, I was thinking of wearing lots of black and white make-up and trying for a Goth Team Member look, not sure it'll work on my tan skin though. sweatdrop
Since I didn't have much to do today, I opted to go with Jason to the Meadows Mall while he went to work. Raymond came along, Jason told me over the weekend that he got Raymond and Wa-Zack jobs at the Disney Store, so now they're all some kind of family now. Jason was pissed though, because he just recently got a raise for $7.00/hour, and that's Raymond and Zack's new starting wages, so he feels somewhat cheated. I still make more than him though. Turns out though Raymond couldn't start today because he didn't have his Social Security Card. I remember I ******** up and forgot it too, but they let me stay that day, but it was probably just because it was orientation and not an actual work day.
I have Debit Card status, which is pretty awesome, I've been setting up accounts to work online and stuff, things like that have made it a lot easier, and now my paychecks can be automatic direct deposits, so the money will be there like Friday at 12:01, which I love because I hated the days that I wouldn't be working but I would have to go all the way to work if I wanted my paycheck. I had a big problem the other week not even like 2 weeks into owning the account. I had about $25 left from when I took ou $75 the day of my birthday to have fun and all that jazz. Well, when my account was set up, they told me with my benefits package of working at Target, I would receive free checks in the mail in about a week.
I remember that they specifically told me they were free, otherwise I wouldn't have taken them, because I don't even need checks at this time in my life, I'm not paying bills or anything. Plus, they had a Monopoly design. So, this first week I test out my debit card and have some lunch at Panda Express. The next day, I go to check my balance online to make sure everything's in order, and it shows that I'm in the hole about -$25. Turns out they still charged me for those checks, and took the amount directly from my account without notifying me, so I was buying food or little things here and there thinking I had the money to spare, when I was using money that didn't exist.
This piled up overdraft fees and more negative numbers, to the point that when I finally cashed my check the day after the 13th, my balance total was like -$196.38. I ended up with like $96 left from my entire paycheck. I got it all cleared up, and I remembered to be a good person and not explode on them, because that could mean the difference in customer service, I should know. And doing that I think definitely helped, because I bet if I had gotten rowdy with the guys, they wouldn't have helped me out.
I swapped shifts with Rico, so I get Friday off so I can go to AJ's Halloween party and go see Saw III. The only problem is, I'm taking his shift the next day, and I'm doing my own for that day. So in total, I'll be working about 13 hours that day, but it's cool, because that's money going towards my Wii. Just gotta make one more school payment and I'm out of it until Spring. Yahoo!!
And now for a secret:

EDIT: Here's something funny. I just checked my archives, and the time I posted this entry is the same time I posted the one prior. Fate or coincidence?
