Oh my poor, poor, neglected journal. I'll try to bring this thing up to date now, I mentioned a couple points, but I want to give the long story- without beeing too long.
I mentioned a girl, her name is Katherine. We met via myspace (lame, I know, but it seems to get the job done well). The first date, which, at the time, I didn't know was a date, we just met at Norm's and talked for about an hour over drinks. Second date we went to a cafe where she performed at an open mic. She plays accoustic guitar, mostly folk stuff, which seemed to be the focus of the evening. I really enjoyed listening to music I don't normaly pay attention to, and of course she gave a good performance. Afterwards we went back to "her" place (at the time she was living with her grandma, but that night she was out of town) with the intention of watching one of her movies, but ended up getting tipsy and making out. It was around that time I figured out we were dating. xd
So things went from there as one might expect until one day she decided she couldn't live with her Grandma anymore due to privacy issues and whatnot. At first the idea seemed rediculous, but after some thought we ended up moving into an apartment together because a) she needed a place to stay and this way we could split the cost (housing is pretty expensive in southern California) and b) I had been considering the prospect of moving out and this would be an easy way to test the waters. So we got a place that ended up being pretty close to my parents house, and about that time I bought a car from my cousin (my sister just got her license and pretty much took the car I was driving, and no, I didn't end up getting the mustang xp ).
So things went from there as one might expect until her parents made her an offer she couldn't refuse. She was getting kind of frustrated with school because the one she was going to made some kind of clerical error and she ended up dropping all her classes. Basically, if she moved to Utah, where her parents live, they would pay for her to have her own apartment and pay for her school expenses. For an offer like that, even I would move to Utah. So a week ago friday she moved out of state, and I moved back into my parent's house.
The day of the move was the worst. The breadth of the situation didn't really hit me until after she left, but when it did it hit hard. I felt like I was going through withdrawls. sweatdrop Things have gotten better since though. I still miss her (for some reason it's the worst right when I wake up in the morning), but I think I might be able to cope with the idea of being just friends, as we had intended beforehand, rather than a long distance relationship. I've never been a fan of the idea of the long distance relationship, but on Friday it sounded pretty appealing. Right now I guess I'm kinda in the middle, but given enough time I suppose I'll learn to cope. In the mean time, I will continue to be emo about it. emo blaugh After all, it is my first real emotional "breakup."
