Begind the Facade ~ part two
It had been a few hours since they set out from the clearing in the morning. By now, the sun was already near the horizon. June had fallen asleep, her head on his shoulder. It had started snowing, so he quicked his pace some to more of a power walk. He yawned some, tired from all of this.
Soon enough, he reached tthe outskirts of the town his house was near. He was greeted by the few people that owned stands around the main square, but that's about it. After more walking still, he finally reached his own home. It was placed far back in the forest, a nicely cut path leading up to it. When he bought it, it was owned by some rich man that had died. He decided it would be the best place to stay for the good part of his life.
Upon reaching the main entrance, he shook June gently to wake her. He felt her stir and lift her head from his shoulder.
" ..We're here." He smiled some, helping her down. She yawned a bit, looking up at him and then to the vast house that lay before her. It immedately woke her up and her eyes grew about twice their normal size. Cy chuckled some, grasping her hand and leading her inside. He lit a few candles and got a good fire going in the hearth.
"..I-It's amazing! " She exclaimed, looking around the living room. She walked around some, staring in awe. Never had she seen anything bigger and more beautiful than Cy's manor.
" It's not perfect, but it's home.." He sighed some, pulling off his own shoes and warming his feet by the fire. He looked to June, who was wandering her way over to him. She stood next to him for a moment until he looked to her, grinning widely. She must have just noticed he was vampiric, because she stummbled back, looking a bit frightened.
"..Y-Your..a v-vampire!" She said.
" Hm? Oh! Please, don't worry. I'm only a hybrid. " He pleaded. He didn't want her to get freaked out. She calmed some. Cy stood, walking over to her, frowning.
" Trust me, I have no use for blood and If I did, I most likely would have killed you already." This calmed her some still, but it did sound a bit odd. " Now, Let's get you cleaned up, alright?" He took her by the hand, taking her upstairs.
" I'm sorry. I don't have any spare rooms, all are used for storage." He frowned some. " But we can think about that later.." He went into the bathroom and returned with a small bowl of water and a cloth. Cy pushed open the door of his room and led her in, setting the bowl on his desk and lighting a few wall lights.
" You room is very nice." She complimented. He didn't really think so, it was cluttered with books, papers and miscallaneous objects. June sat on the edge of the bed, looking around some. Cy walked over and knelt, dipping the cloth in the water.
" Here." He helf a hand under her chin gently, taking the cloth to her face. Underneath the dirt was a fair complexion and beautiful crystal blue eyes. Though, it worried him some that there was what looked like a fading bruise on the side of her jaw. He removed his hand and smiled softly.
" That's better." He set the bowl back on his desk and sighed some, looking at her. " I don't know if you'd want to. But until I figure out a place for you sleep in, you can sleep in my bed and I'll sleep down on the couch or something." He turned, scratching the back of his neck some.

" Hmm. I wonder when Pin will be back.." Cy said, walking to the balcony and looking out over the tops of the trees.
" What did you say?" June asked, looking to him.
" Oh, nothing. Nothing.." He waved it off dimissively. " I'm going to make some tea. I'll be back up in a moment."
"..A-Alright." June replied as Cy left the room. The girl stood, still wrapped up in Cy's coat. She smiled some, walking around. This Cy guy really seemed nice and he lived in a nice place. He was nicer than anyone she'd ever met. June sat back on the side of the bed, yawning some. She was actually glad he had tried to rob her house, other wise she'd never met him. June layed back, curling up and falling asleep quite fast.
When Cy returned, he found her fast asleep. He smiled some, watching her for a few moments before returning to the balcony. He thought, sipping his tea slowly. There was something about this girl that he thought was... so strange. It made him want to learn more about her and who she really was. Cy tilted his head some so he could look at her from the corner of his eye. Juniper Cross. The last name sounded so familiar, as if he had read it somewhere. And she didn't seem quite like a hybrid, either. But it was possible she could be part Elf and Feline of some sort. Then there was the chance of being Incarnian in race. Cy closed his eyes for a moment, swallowing down the last of his tea and setting the cup down on his desk.
He figured it wouldn't hurt to share the bed. Pulling off his shirt, he stretched some and pulled his hair from the neat ponytail he kept it in. Carefully, as not to wake June, he slipped into the bed and settled in on his side. He stared at the balcony door for sometime before falling asleep himself.

Just before the golden sun rose, he climbed from bed and got dressed, neglecting a shower until later. He tipped homself over at the waist, so his hair hang to floor. Gathering it, Cy pulled the silver locks into his normal ponytail, tying it in. There was a small noise and he turned around, to see June rolling over and then sit up.
" Good morning, June." He said happily. He watched one of her ears perk from a lowered position and then she shifted to look at him sleepily.
" Morning.." She said standing with a quiet yawn. Cy nodded a bit and walked to the balcony, pulling open the door. A small breeze blew through the room and he stood out in the snow that blanketed the wooden balcony.
"What are you doing?" She asked quizzically.
"Waiting.."
"For what?" June blinked some, standing in the doorway behind him. Then, a small glitter of gold shown in the pale grey sky. Like a falcon, the spark streaked though the air until crash landing into the bank of snow on the railing of the balcony. Cy chuckled some. The object wiggled its way from the hole it had made. The gold ball was a bit bigger than a good sized walnut and had gold wings jutting from its back. As if carved on the front, there were two intersecting lines that were inscribed in a circle. It chirped some and turned it's little body to Cy. June stared, mouth somewhat agape in awe.
" Welcome back, Pin." Cy stated. He grabbed the little ball and carried it inside, June right beside him. Pin clinged to his finger in protest as Cy tryed to shake him off. " June, this is Pin. He's my little messenger, if you want to call him that." He finally got him to let go. Pin moved around, his small, spindly legs clicking on the wooden table. When he spotten June, he twitched his little golden tail and chirped a bit.

" He's cute." She said smiling. Extending a curious hand, she laid it flat and Pin climbed upon it. Cy laughed a bit.
"He was a gift from a friend." He smiled some in return and sat on the unmade bed. Pin fluttered up and onto June's shoulder and then to Cy's. "..C'mon. I'll make some breakfast. You look starved." He led her downstairs to the kitchen. It was a nice size, a large table in the middle and a hearth and brick oven to the right. The girl sat at the table as Cy fixed a quick yet nice breakfast. He sat the plate before her and her eyes grew. June had never seen anything so delicious. She began eating and Cyprus sat, a cup of tea in one hand and a book in the other.
After a mere ten minutes, Cy looked up from his book to see June already finished with her meal. He blinked some as a smile appeared on his alabaster face. His gaze settled on her ruddy clothes now, the smiled cleared from his face. He decided he would have to do something about it; it just didn't seem right that she should be dressed like this, especially when she was so...beautiful.
" In a little while, I have a surprise for you." He grinned.
" A..s-surprise? For me?" She blinked some, looking up at him with her innocent blue orbs. Cy nodded, a grinn replacing the distraught line that was his mouth.
"Yep, and we're going to have to go into town for it." He stood, taking her plate. June was perplexed, unsure of what he meant by the 'surprise'. She figured it would have to be good, seeing as though Cy was such a good person anyway. She was sure he wouldn't do anything to harm her.

It was now about two hours since they had eaten, and Cy was getting ready to leave. He helped her into a cloak that reached to her ankles andled her out the door. Carefully and quietly, Cy slipped an arm around hers as they trudged through the snow. June felt this and looked down some, blushing faintly.
As they reached the outskirts of town, Cy took a right into the main part of the town square. Cy stopped suddenly in front of the clothing parlor.
"Here we are." He said happily, pushing the door open. June looked around some and then at Cy. " I want you to pick out a fair ammount of clothing, alright? I'm going to go acrossed the square to get some food to last until the end of the week. " He was about to turn away, but was stopped when June grabbed him around the middle. She hugged him tightly and then let go.
" Thank you, Cy." She smiled softly. He left, grinning. The woman behind the counter smiled some. She was in her mid thirties and had a gentle look to her. She led June to the back of the store and pulled down some fabric.
" Here. This looks like it would be beautiful with your eye color. " She held up some dark blue fabric and June smiled some, nodding.
" Hm. I think there is a skirt somewhere..Ah. This one." She pulled a maniquin into the room that had a knee length skirt pinned to it. It was made of the same material and June looked at it, touching the fabric. It felt so soft and expensive. " You're quite thin..I think it will fit already without making it any bigger." The woman set it aside. " Is there anything in particular you would like, dear?" She smiled softly. June looked around. There were a few blouses to her left and a small white dress that she liked. The woman spoke again. " I can tell you don't want any of the big, froofy dresses."
" ..I like these here." June walked to the shirts. Two of them where short sleeved and two long sleeved.
" Ah, they would suit you nicely. I don't think I have to make any adjustments here either." June then picked out three pairs of pants, a few other skirts, the white dress and a nice black cloak. Just before Cy returned, she picked out a nice pair of shoes and a pair of sturdy knee high boots.
" Ready June?" Cy said, smiling with a few bags in his arms. She nodded and he paid for the items. They left the shop, Cy humming something as they walked back home.
