Quote: In life, I have experienced a few times when I wondered if I was going to make it. When pain was intense, frustration was high, or circumstances challenging, I have wondered if I would be able to make it through. Whether it was the difficulty of my parents divorce, my own insecure moments, or the struggles that hit me when I wondered if/when I would ever be able to scale the mountains of ineffectiveness in front of me, I have doubted my ability to find peace and remain strong.
But, it is in those moments that I have had to train myself to find hope. Rather than dwell on my feelings that point out impossibilities, I have had to look to scripture to remind myself that God is on my side and on his way to help me through life.
In the midst of studying the Bible, I have also discovered that my challenges are not going to last. My life here on earth is not the culmination. I can deal with anything that comes my way because I realize that something better is on the way.
Perhaps you are facing some difficulties in your life today. Maybe relationships aren't that you hoped they would be. Maybe the plans that you have crafted for your future don' seem to be coming together. Or, maybe you are dealing with personal failure or wounds that have been inflicted. It is human nature to look at those situations and wonder if you can make it, but let me remind you that you can. God is right there next to you. His love is real and He longs to offer you peace. He wants to give you a great life and help you overcome all of your struggles. But you can'give up. You can't lose hope.
Truthfully, you can handle anything that comes your way. He will not let you be burdened beyond what you can bear. Your knees may feel like they are going to buckle, but if you hold onto Christ, you can stand up under it.
And, it isn't going to last. The tribulations of life may seem extreme, but right around the corner there is relief. Usually, our lives travel in seasons. But, even if yours stays challenging while you are here on earth, if you have a personal relationship with Christ, you can rely on the fact that in just a little while you will experience the indescribable joy and limitless peace of Heaven.
The One who loves you perfectly wants you to know that He is on your side. He is with you as you traverse this life and if you trust Him you won't buckle under the pressure.
Lord, I pray for the person reading this page. I pray that the God of hope would fill them with all joy and peace as they trust in You, so that they may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Prayer taken from Romans 15:13).
