He sits there waiting in the dark tunnel, He's waiting for her, But she will never come, He stands there waiting, Finally the news is taken to him, He lays there in his room for her to call, She can't, she's already gone, Finally reality sinks in, he knows what happened, He walks to the local bar, Hoping the numbness will replace the burning ache, It doesn't, He walks to her grave tears streaming down his face, He puts his head to the tombstone, A cry escapes his lips, He looks around for a shovel, He finds one beneath a tree, He digs into the softened soil, He reaches her casket with a clang, He throws the shovel aside, He opens the casket lid, She isn't in there, He feels someone walk up behind him, Tears streaming down his face he turns, He sees that it's her, Happiness floods through him, He runs for her but stops short when she holds up a hand, She points to the tombstone, He turns, Instead of her name it's his, Before anything else could happen he feels a hand push him from behind, He hears the casket lid close over his head as he falls into black nothingness.
